  1. Special Events and Production Services Full service lighting and audio. Floral, linen, set design, and carpentry.
  2. Believe me, thats already running through my mind. Once the specifics get released for the job, I may submit a proposal to them. My other option is to sit on my hands and wait for them to come to me.
  3. You know what, sometimes stuff happens for a reason. I picked up another job, during the same timeframe that actually will probably be worth more pure profit than the job that I lost. Best part is that it's in Atlantis. Another plus, some of the clients have stopped doing business with the other contracting company and are going direct through my company. Because they decided not to renew the contract, I'm able to deal directly with the individual client. Gotta love it when stuff like that happens.
  4. Thats basically what I'm hoping. His prices are also excessively high for what he provides. I hope they do well, don't get me wrong. Good group of people over there. Who knows, we'll end up seeing what happens. I just hate the thought of losing money thats been there for the last couple of years. I need to find some other jobs now to pick up the slack.
  5. Threads like this are exactly the reason why each person must play around with a rod before they buy it. Not every rod is going to feel the same in a different persons hands. A lot of it will also depend on the reel being used. If you're in the market for a rod, go store fishing with it first. That is one of the benefits of having a big box store around you.
  6. Well, this year is starting out great. I come into the office today to find out that I've lost a 250k contract for the beginning of the year. Suddenly out of the blue, a client I've had for five years is deciding to go a different direction. I'll still probably end up with around a half of that, but man that hurts. The bad part is they went with another company that I helped start up. And they physically are not capable of doing the job. They just don't have the work space or the manpower. I'm seriously ticked off about losing some serious cash. I need a beer... /endrant
  7. Ok, phew.
  8. I don't know if I can really say I have a "favorite." I listen to almost every genre of music there is. If you really forced me to listen to one thing though..... Stevie Ray Vaughan or B.B. King would be just fine. Both of them on the same song would be even better.
  9. I can honestly say that I did not expect that one.

Casting: 12lb Fluorocarbon for cranking and jerkbaits.
  12. You know, thats probably what it is. I'll have to read the label to see how much sugar is in it. Gotta be a ton.
  13. I used to drink this stuff as a kid. Publix had it on sale for 5 bucks for 3 of of the big jugs of it. Bought it for the kids. I know it's probably not all that good for me, but d**n, I forgot how good this stuff was!
  14. The flick shake, flea flicker, etc etc is just another method of wacky rigging. It's normally associated with fishing a little deeper. Weightless wacky rigs fall fairly slowly, this just helps you get down to the depth you want a little quicker. It's one of my favorite ways to fish. There are people on the forums though that will tell you to just use a weightless wacky rig and let it fall. It really depends on the situation you're using it in. Another option if you need a very light weight, is to take your hook and crimp on a small split shot, or clam weight to the shank.
  15. Rofl Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one around here with a beard. Great fish Robert. I still love that rod. I need to search and look for the post with the pictures of it. I need some tackle porn to drool over... http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1264371880/0 That'd be it. I'm not sure if I like the green portion of the rod, but man that thing looks sweet. I'm digging that bent handle.
  16. I've seen that one before. It still makes me laugh. The dude in the car was having one seriously rough day. I just love the part at the end where the cop looks at him driving away and says, "Bye."
  17. You might try sending a PM to Bantam1.
  18. Yes they are. Cumaras are an IM10 blank, Crucials are an IM9. Cumaras have SiC guides, the Cucials have Alconites. The reel seats are different. Completely exposed blanks for the Cumara. The Cucials have ECS seats. The flippin stick I have has a great tip, and plenty of backbone.
  19. Holy crap. That is one lucky kid. Crazy wreck, that looked like something out of a movie.
  20. Let me clarify this a little more for you Num3erz. Basically, you put a few yards of cheap mono on the empty spool. Then you tie the braid to that mono and wind the braid on. Your other option is to use some arbor tape. Basically all that is is some thin foam tape that you put on the empty spool so the braid has something to bite on. If you don't, the braid will slip on the spool and you'll never hook a fish with it.
  21. There isn't one. You'd need to buy the Crucial flippin stick if you wanted one.
  22. These have been brought up a bunch of times after ICAST. Cool looking little frog. I'll be buying a couple of them for certain. I'm not entirely sure how effective it will be in some of the uber thick grass we've got down here, but I bet it could do some damage in the sparser areas.
  23. Out of the ones you have listed, the Curado. The only other one on the list I've used was the Revo. Wasn't at all impressed with it.
  24. If you want something inexpensive, good quality, that will last you for a while. Pick up the BPS Pro Qualifier. New ones in the store retail at 100 bucks. I'm sure you can find them on Ebay cheaper. If not, they're on sale several times a year in the stores for 80 bucks. I beat the snot out of the ones I have, still work just fine.
