  1. Checked the trans. and the in line fuse and the wires all still look new. Spent twenty minutes going thru all the settings nothing seemed funny, even reset to the factory settings. Once I done that had to turn off the display mode but it just switches over to 158 ft and clear screen. I know this is not a high dollar item but really like the water temp and depth settings and was able to see bottom structure.
  2. I have just started using this a couple of weeks ago, was a christmas present and just never installed it on the boat. Anyway worked great the first few times out, but now it has water depth is 158 ft and the rest of the screen is blank. Read the manual and done a factory reset did not change anything. Call bps were my wife got it and they are no help because it was purchased over 30 days ago, told to call the manufacture. Have tried this multiple times and not able to speak to a actual person. My question is can anybody help????? :-[ :-[
  3. Some more info. 1. fishing from a boat 2. what I mean by tried everything, is everything I have-worms,multiply style crankbaits, small and large spinner baits, beatle spins. 3. This is a pond/lake in a park that is closed at night, so that is not possible.(Green Valley Mind Pond--Indiana, goggle it) 4. At this point would like to catch anything besides moss and the sometimes tree branch bass. How does water temp. effect the fishing. I mean what temp. is best? Is there a chart that states at 65 degrees the bass are active but at 57 they are still in winter mode and not feeding as much. At what temps do they start to really feed and become active? Also, have been told if one more package of fishing equipment shows up on the front porch this spring I can start looking at a new place to live.. I hope she is kidding!!!
  4. This morning it was beatles spins, small spinner baits and a rebel ant
  5. Central Indiana, water temps 65 to 69, have not seen any beds. Spent couple of hours this morning with a spinner bait, just kept telling myself this is going to work , this is going to work, this is going to work. It did not work.
  6. Been fishing local lake, nothing is working. You name it I have offered it. This is a small lake or big pond to be more like it, alot of people fishing on it but I have yet to get even a bite. Looks to be great area with lots of structure and tons of grass edges, but nothing seems to be working. The grass is going to overgrow a big part of the pond here in a few weeks, so a large part of it is going to be unfishable shortly. I know the fish are there but they refuse to accept what I am offering. Is it possible that it is just over fished during the day? Have yet to try it at night, but have been their late in the evening. Any suggestion?
  7. I have two Garmin eTrex's, they work great and are cheap. Use them mainly for geocaching, but do use them fishing some. Wally World usually has them on sale for around 100 bucks. My two cents
  8. Having the same problem, tried the Bass Pro Shops® XPS® Double Sided Tangle-Free Crankbait Organizer. Was a waste of money, looked great ordered it, placed three crankbaits per row. Turned it over to fill other side, and everything was tangled up. Not worth the shipping cost to send it back, so now I use it worm plastics.
  9. Moved the battery to the front, along with a large cooler full of paving bricks. Sounds dumb but worked, leveled the boat out able to fish by myself. Whenever fishing with friends just take out the cooler and good to go.
  10. The boat is 30" wide on the bottom/floor and the sides are 14 maybe 15 inches. The main problem is with trolling motor in the center of the trans. I have water running over the edge whenever I turn around and try and control the motor. Moved the motor as far as I could to the opposite side of the batt. this helped a little, but still only have a couple of inch of the back of the boat out of the water. Going to try adding a cooler with some ice or ??? in the front this weekend. Thinking this might level the boat out from front to back and help a little. This is a old boat, my grandfather got it second hand 35 years ago. The seats in the boat are spaced out weird, not able to set in the middle and run motor on trans and the front floor is curved up so moving the motor to the front is not possible. Seen on different sites people talking about pvc stabilizers but have not seen a pic of one that actually worked. Any ideas? will try anything to get off the bank and fell safe...
  11. On a very small budget so get a new Bass Raider 8e this weekend or save up over the summer and get a new big jon next year. I currently have a 12' jon but is just to small, between the stability problems and my weight just to scary to fish out of. Took it out last weekend had high hopes but just weigh to much and to tall for what I have. So my choice is bank fish another year or go get a Bass Raider 8e. Found them on sale for 399.00 locally. I am 6'4" and 300 pounds will the bass raider 8e work for me, will I be able to stand and cast?
