  1. You are correct, it is the gen 2 that's on sale.
  2. Incase anyone has this problem in the future, I contacted TW;they emailed me a shipping label. Very easy and convenient to deal with. I'll let you all know how the next reel is.
  3. I'll go with what Jfrancho says.. I'm not disassembling a brand new reel that has never had line on it. Although it is a pain to swap out a product when it has to be shipped to the other side of the country.
  4. I was afraid I would have to do that, just wanted to make sure it didn't need to be broken in or something. Thanks for your input.
  5. I just got one of the revo sx hs from tackle warehouse that was on sale and the reel is tight and not smooth.. I own other revos and this is not characteristic of the reel... It's smooth if i take the spool out... Any suggestions? I oiled it while I had the spool out.
  6. Went saturday, best five weighed 12 lb... probably caught 25 over 14 inches... Both large and smallmouth could be found shallow in the afternoon. There were a few small largemouth already on the bed. Caught most of them skipping a gp senko, a dropshot and shakey head also caught fish. Caught one nice smallmouth on a jerkbait. This was on the roanoke side. The water temp got up to 61 in the afternoon.. hope this helps
  7. I can't wait to flip an A rig with five tubes on it, into a bed and see what happens! :eyebrows:
  8. x2 walmart batteries rock...
  9. do you have any batteries you can swap in to test with? or maybe borrow a friends for 5 minutes? how was the motor tested?
  10. where exactly are the leads you are testing voltage on?
  11. I typically use the same things I use during the day. One thing that will help you alot is a black light and florescent line; for your bottom baits. Seeing the line helps alot. Topwaters and spinnerbaits work well. Ive done just as well with white spinnerbaits as i have black. I think the blade size and shape probably matters more than anything.
  12. They're usually only thirty minute shows; If they take the time to weigh fish. Thats time they are losing to promote products. Most of the time they are pushing something and thats the goal of the show. Bill dance is always pushing something made by yum for example. It's a buisness like anything else. If they were promoting a weigh and cull system, every fish would probably get weighed like stated above.
  13. Dude you must be really bored,
  14. Try tightening your drag a little; Just dont tighten it so much that it doesn't serve its purpose. Maybe try a medium hvy in 7' if you aren't already using something with similair action.
  15. thanks.. been doing anygood there lately? should be getting pretty good about now up there...based on what ive heard anyway
  16. bass fishing has always been my excuse to escape hahaha... but if all my former gfs looked like that, i prob wouldn't leave the house lmao... and here i was thinking all the hot girls were on jet skis, ski boats and pontoons lol..
  17. somewhere out of new jersey..i dont know an exact location yet, i have not recieved the state team packet from BASS yet, I have been told we will be in the tidal area though.
  18. looks like it time to convert a diesel to bio diesel, start stealing mcdonalds used cooking oil, and stock up on tires made of hemp.. lol
  19. Thanks for the education. I think rhino is prob the only person here that has some sort of actual experience in this area to comment on it. Unless any of us are whistle blowers for a exxon or some other comapny..we can't really know exactly what goes on, even as a share holder.
  20. Wonder how much of that 101.95 billion went into wealthy executives pockets? I'm sure those expenses include saleries? Am i wrong to think that the profit margin is what effects the stock holder?Saleries and bonus are not included in this margin right? We are all aware that we need oil and oil needs us. That isn't what is in question. Profit margin isn't the issue, it's being able to get to the lake or work without feeling guilty about it or sacrificing other things.
  21. Fish them and find out, If it provides shade, it is probably good habitat and worth a shot.
  22. I hope so, I am debating on taking a few alternative energy classes just incase. Mostly photovalic cells and wind turbines for starters. At the time being, solar power is terribly inefficient; i think it's something like 20% efficiency on most systems. If batteries get better it will improve alot of things. They are starting to get better now. Who knows where we will be in 5 or 10 years! Hopefully!
  23. The price of alternative energy is already rediculous... If it doesn't get cheaper, it will never take off. Apologies for the political reference in my post above; i just read the forum rule lol...i'm guessing it will get deleted.
  24. Are you a lobbyist for an oil comapny? lol jk. If speculation drives the price, then how does it hit the pump so fast? We hear about something happening on the news in the middle east and before you know it, gas just jumped 10-20 cents on the gallon. A hurricane, earthquake, politcal move in washington, tsunami ect ect is not gonna make people start buying all the oil they can get their hands on. Speculation benifits the people at the top and they take advantage of it. The price swings are to large, not to mention the reserve of oil that is said to be stockpiled. And i am aware, that at times, there is a major disconnect between the cost of a barrel of oil and the price at the pump. But who is the middle man? This discussion could go on forever and in most cases, not all, but most; conservative republicans will be on one side and democrats on the other. I am neither, I'm not a fan of any of the politicians, I just vote for the one i hate the least. I dont support taxing big oil, obviously that will cost yours truly more in the long run; but basically stating that the cost of a gallon of fuel is out of the hands of big oil is rediculous. When i started driving gas was $.79 a gallon, im not sure what age or knowing what things costed 50 years ago has to do with $100 fill ups and hobbies being set aside because of it. It's alot easier to make your argument when the cost probably doesn't affect you as much as it does someone that only make 35k a year. Just making an assumption by assuming you are in a good place financially. Please correct me if i am wrong.
  25. If the oil companies aren't gouging then who is? And there is no way you would even come close in making up the difference you pay at the pump with the small amount you might gain in your IRA. Unless you work for an oil company maybe. Record profits over and over again but they aren't gouging? Paaaleeaasse Oh wait maybe they aren't; Maybe bp is passing on the cost of cleaning up the gulf to us.. SMH
