  1. i agree with some of the posts.... though i love topwater, and the hits are great....... i as well get a little overzealous at times, and yank the darn bait straight away from the fish. .... :-/
  2. it was new to me as well, and completely great ;D ;D ;D
  3. great pics..... the 1st is my fav..... followed by the 3rd..... awesome scenery!
  4. as for the one you mentioned....... i always called it "college casserole". my version was... 1 box shells and cheese frozen peas 1 can tuna 2 tbl spoons mayo cook shells and 1/2 pack frozen peas. when done, add the tuna (drained) then add the cheese sauce and 2 spoons of mayo... mix and enjoy! **if you really want to jazz this up, put the final creation in a casserole dish, top liberally with coarsely crushed plain lays potato chips, and bake in 350 degree oven for about '10 min. ....makes it fancy!!! ....my favorite super cheap meal, none other than bo-bo-chicken-pesto! need, 1 pack bowtie pasta 2 chick breasts (i use the cheap bags of individually frozen ones ) 2 powdered sauce packs of pesto self explanatory at that point, cook pasta, cook chicken, make sauce.... put all together....... top with parmesan....(it makes this go from great to AWESOME). ...cheap or not, i love this stuff....... i tend to make it at least once a month!
  5. i have never had the shot. i also (somehow) have never had the flu.....(guess im fortunate, as i rarely ever get sick..... in fact its probably been 2 yrs or more since my last real bug) so, as for this one......... nope. ***edit*** i suppose in the random shots you get for school and such, i may have had it long ago........ but never for any other reason.
  6. thats insane my man!!! really, 4 fish.... on 2 casts...... straight up ridiculous!!!!
  7. nice fish man!!! whatta fattie..... congrats.
  8. agreed here as well, i've always enjoyed seeing them myself.
  9. ive got a pair of CDM's.... with the grey lenses....... thier great, and id never givem up! on their own, they are kinda pricey....... but unfortunately i have bad eyesight...... so i had to get mine made with my Rx in them........ made expensive glasses........ really expensive! ...yet i dont regret it one bit, worth every penny i spent on them.
  10. Man, that is a great fish!! good job bro, by the way............ what'd you catch it on?
  11. ahhh peoria, know a good amount of that place quite well.......... know Canton even better though, good to have ya, eh!
  12. since i started fishing avidly (about 15 yrs now) ive gone through a few periods where i lost interest for a while. The longest being the one that i just broke out of, it lasted about 2 years.... Not to say that i didnt fish for that whole period of time, it was just few and far between. Right now, im fishing every free chance that i get.... and im sure it will fade for a while again. Whether im into fishing at every point in time, or not......... one thing is constant....... somewhere in the back of my head, i know that i love to do it. So in a dry spell, or not,...... i will always end up fishing in the end!
  13. your not the only one, im not sure how this would actually work as well?! ...i still have my doubts, but would be quite amazed if someone could enlighten me.
  14. ....yup!!! straight up, the craziest people i have ever encounter have been at that walmart on colonial (in the late night/early morning hours)...... and downtown, right at around 2:30 am...... just after stumbling out of the bars!
  15. thats one of the best reports that i have read here, outstanding!!!!
  16. wow, i must say that most of you are all more giving than i......... when it comes to others using your personal gear. Its actually quite nice to hear that as well! I suppose there is a host of factors that lead to my personal decisions on lending my personal gear, and as i've said... if i know that they are "in the know"... then they can use my "good" stuff. But, i seem to take out a lot of buddies that literally have no clue whats going on (just love to see'em catch fish, its quite fun!).... That being said, i had one of my really good pals set down one of my nice rigs into an ant pile, then proceed to rinse it off in the water (ie, a quick dunk!)...... he did this on the other side of a large pond that we were fishing, unknown to me. after we finally met up again, he told me what happened.... and how he cleaned it for me! ... he had no idea that this was bad, so i wasnt mad at him, but it did sour me from readily lending my good rigs to others. ....as for the reel mentioned, it is back to normal....and fishing great still!
  17. i suppose that i am a little more "ocd" with my good stuff than others, but i will readily let others "in the know" use my personal rigs...... the 2 i mentioned are reserved for the inexperienced, or of "unknown experience"... as in....
  18. What i mean by this is, what rod/reel setup do you deem worthy to use by others than yourself? (ie.... friend, wife, girlfriend, next door neighbor's bored kid, etc... you get the point) I'm highly meticulous and careful with "my personal" rigs, but do have one's that i will let others handle without worry. that being said, the two that i let go to others are.... 1. Really old Daiwa Regal Z (prob. about 13 yrs old!!) 1500, on a POS FLW rod 6' md. act, spooled with suffix braid 8-30. 2. Daiwa Exceller 4000, on some ridiculous ranger rod (6'), spooled with ande mono 10lb. ..#1, is the rig i keep in my car at all times... just in case i happen upon some random fishing territory ...#2. well, that rod only see's catfish........ if its lucky ;D
  19. agreed, but i always used an eggwash, and panfried in olive oil. ...cant forget the salt at the end either way, ..... amazing!
  20. man, this is the first i have seen of these pics..... and i must say, AWESOME ;D ;D ;D on a side note, BigMike... i cant imagine what you see all the time, a couple of years back... when i was attending UCF, i was at the local walmart at all sorts of crazy hours....... but i have seen some "more than interesting" individuals in the 3-4 am time slot there! (straight up ridiculous $h!*)
  21. nice, very nice! ... i cant believe that you actually got it back!
  22. hands down.... TOPWATER! ...just cant beat it.
  23. ....and dont forget the matching hooks!
  24. post a pic of it, and im sure you'll have your answer within the night.
  25. good job man!!! I must say the topwater bite it my personal favorite... ...and, all of those fish have a very nice size to them.... must have been a blast!!!
