  1. If I'm going to "balance" a setup its going be a light one.
  2. Terry Oldham's Eye Max, followed closely by Hackney's Flourcarbon Jig.
  3. Helium avg. weight 3.5 ozs, pared with a Lew's Tournament Lite at 5.3 ozs I'm good to go. I threw a Calcutta for years, it weighs more than the above combo. Been searching for years to get lighter. How much y'all this combo weighs?
  4. As much as I love Fishing and collecting fishing gear, it takes up too much of my time and I am struggling to keep up with the everyday basics such as cleaning and maintaining my home, so something has to give. I will be getting rid of my collection. Below is a list of what's available. Serious inquiries only, please and don't insult me with your offers. Thanks for reading and understanding... 1. Dustpan and brush 2. Sponges 3. Febreeze spray 4. Mop and bucket 5. Window cleaner 6. Vacuum 7. Dishwashing liquid 8. Laundry detergent 9. Fabric softener 10. Laundry baskets 11. Toilet brush 12. Cleaning sprays 13. Scrubbing brushes
  5. These rods mentioned are in the same price range, look at the return policies.
  6. There's your answer 😉
  7. I agree with the above 100%. Safety isn’t an area to guess, if you have doubt replace. Thanks for bringing this up, time for me replace.
  8. I have a GUIDE but he ain't earthly
  9. @A-Jay The year 2007 Bass over 5 lbs: 63 Bass over 6 lbs: 51 Bass over 7 lbs: 17 Bass over 8 lbs: 9 Bass over 9 lbs: 6 Bass over 10 lbs: 11 Largest: 12 lbs 8 ozs Took me a year to come close to what y'all did in days!
  10. Is your reel on the rod when fishing? Or is it in your hand? If your rod can't handle 6-10 lbs of drag, you need a new rod anyway! Now I wouldn't advise doing a clean & jerk, just a steady lift. Bet y'all @Glenn got a video
  11. Toledo Bend Reservoir during the 70s! Witnessing the Big Pond became arguably the Bass Fishing Capital of the World. Having the honor to be around & become friends with some absolute legends of the sport.
  12. For plastics the diameter of an Ole Monster & larger I perfer a offset round bend over straight shanks. I know straight shanks work fine with punch baits but most punch baits are short. With longer worms the offset puts the hook point farther back. With the Tak-offset I can Texpose. Why did I start using it? Yamamoto 10” Ichi Worm
  13. Mustad Tactical Bass Tak-Offset Worm Hooks If ya gotta go to braid, go straight braid.
  14. As soon as I throw my entry fee on the table 90% of my spots will dry up!
  15. Reels are set at 6-10# of drag, this never changes...ever. Berkley Big Game 15# or Sufix 832 50#, only lines I use. Majority of the time I'm throwing a Medium Heavy X-Fast.
  16. Toro Creek is the flood control for Toledo Bend. Not many largemouth but its full of Kentucky Spots.
  17. Texas Rigged Ultravibe Speed Worm Watermelon Neon with the tail dipped in Spike-It Dip-N-Glo Chartreuse Garlic, 1/8 oz bullet weight, 3/0 straight shank round bend hook. Humdinger 1/4 oz spinnerbait
  18. I was raised in the swamps-n-marshes of Southwest Louisiana. I've walked levees for miles, fished pushpoling a pirogue, ran Jon Boats hundreds of miles back in marshes. Don't anymore cause I can't 🥲
  19. @Koz The best "fast food" around here is Mom-n-Pop owed stores. one I frequent is Cajun Fast Mart. Excellent breakfast sandwiches made from scratch. Lunch there's brisket sandwiches made from brisket they smoke in house. They have more hunting & fishing equipment than most Academys.
  20. @geo g That's been our problem here except those numbers are our actual temperatures, no clouds & little wind. Y'all better have good sun screen on cause you can feel heat on bare skin.
  21. One of my Master Degrees is in pinning worms together with a hook. I've been known to meander over by a guides boat when they're pulling up after a trip.
  22. Aiden said that's what they look like when he sets hook 😁
  23. Ain't no gaints but it scratches the itch!
