  1. I spent the summer of '69 at my brother's in Forsyth, MO. My summer job was cutting trees, running em through the peeler mill, running em through the saw mill, running em through the creosote mill. Been there, done that, didn't even get a t-shirt!
  2. How Y'all Are? 😉
  3. About the time I think, I have them figured out, they prove to me I don't! @Pat Brown Everytime I hear someone say, all "scopers" do is stare at a screen, I just walk away. 53 fishing Toledo Bend y'all wanna guess how many hours I've spent staring at a screen? That's some nice information to have.
  4. Y'all gonna spend all the time & energy on 2 tighteyes! We ain't the same 😉
  5. The reason the private sector is faster at responding is most don't have to wait on some boards of directors approval or the DOD. This is the reason to support LOCAL businesses! "Improvise, adapt, and overcome" Due to the terrain the Cajun Navy is coordinating teams with horses & pack mules.
  6. @Pat Brown totally agree if we're talking bream spawn but the original question deals with bait balls found offshore with electronics.
  7. Throw white swim jigs, Speed Worms, Speed Craws, Lizards, Senkos, spinnerbaits, poppers, buzzbaits, crankbaits ect year round.
  8. Speaking from experience the fastest responders are the private sector. Of those churches are the fastest with Independent Baptist the fastest of those. The biggest problems will be the fight with insurance companies. 4 yrs after Laura & many still haven paid for damages. Gas generators down here out preform solar hands down. Now we do live the the heart of oil & gas industry.
  9. White Jig-n-Craw during pre-spawn/spawn who would have thunk!
  10. That's a good one Boss!
  11. I ain't spending my time chasing a couple of fish that are maybe 8-12".
  12. Sounds like when Nadine inhales a jig & just sits there. No thump-thump, no line movement, nothing, but I set hook anyway! My grandson Aiden: You wasn't even paying attention. Me: Yeah I was, that's why I set hook! If the bass is big enough I can tell when it's trailing my spinnerbait/crankbait.
  13. I only use two Berkley products, Big Game & Saltwater Gulp.
  14. @BrianMDTX I own quite a few crankbaits, very aware of how productive they are but seldom throw em.
  15. What is normal & who gets to define it?
  16. Finesse: refinement of workmanship; skillful handling of a situation: adroit maneuvering Adroit: having or showing skill, cleverness, or resourcefulness in handling situations. Finesse fishing doesn't necessarily mean small or slow, it's about picking an area apart. I finesse fish power baits!
  17. I spent a lot of years fishing Team Tournaments where each boat was allowed to weigh 5 bass only. Each angler must catch at least 1 bass. I fished with same partner for 36 years. I also enjoy fishing alone but there will come a time when that is no longer an option. That time started a year ago for me. I'm still allowed to fish alone but no more running marshes & swamps alone.
