  1. Friends are usually friends because of shared interest. Did you ever think maybe you are friends BECAUSE you fish together and you just happen to be the one with the boat? Maybe him asking when the two of you are going fishing IS his way of keeping in touch? I know a lot of people who have "golfing partners" who only get together on the course. That's why they're friends. Of course I have no idea of your actual situation, but it's just something to consider. Exactly my thinking. It sounds like he might not be very fond of this person to begin with.
  2. There's a walking trail that goes all the way around the lake I fish...Me and my dad were fishing in our boat and I happened to look up on the walking trail and I see this guy with a camera taking pictures of us. I thought I would help him out with some good shots, so I decided to pose and give him the good ole' California howdy. I don't think that was a bird he was planning on taking a picture of that day, cause once he focused in I think he could see what I thought of him taking pictures of us and he quickly pulled his camera away from his face and walked away. Lol.
  3. The first one looks like submerged vegetation, it has the classic cotton ball look that vegetation has on the SI. The 4th one looks like vegetation. The 5th one looks like a channel or possible road bed maybe? Thanks for sharing.
  4. I bought one of the Buster bass boats with the trailer. I've had it for 2 years...so far so good.
  5. Roger's for sure. Their rod and reel prices are very low.
  6. www.busterboats.com Bought one last year and love it.

  10. So, if you don't mind me asking, what were you using? I'm going to Blue Springs lake tomorrow and any inside info would be much appreciated.
  11. Ha. I just figured it was called a Ted Williams 400 cause he was the last player to hit .400...well .406 to be exact.
  12. Shimano Cumara 6'8" MH Shimano Core 50mg 12lb Yozuri Is there really any reason to explain why? 8-)
  13. That's one thing I haven't messed with too much is the colors. I have been leaving it on Amber 2 most of the time. I will definitely give this a try. Thanks! Here's an example of the images I'm getting with the DI. This is an snapshot I took when I first got mine. I'm only getting bits and pieces of what's actually down there. Very frustrating. :-/
  14. I messed with the settings on mine off and on for about an hour on Saturday and still can't get it to work right. If I turn the sensitivity all the way up the image is a little better, but nothing even close to the images you've been posting. Hopefully I'll get it figured out at some point. And believe me, I already feel dumb enough making the "useless" statement after seeing your pics. ;D
  15. Didn't mean to hurt your feelings Wayne. : I was just giving my opinion, which if I read the thread starters post right that is what he was looking for. I was just going off of my experience with my unit and what I have read from other people saying the same thing about their 798 not getting a very good picture with the DI feature. I look forward to your posts about the 798 when ever the subject comes up because you seem to be very knowledgeable and experienced with it, and I try to soak in whatever info you're willing to provide. I was quick to retract my "useless" statement in my previous post once I saw your images, because you have the photographic proof that the DI for the 798 is in fact not useless. All hail Wayne P.... The King of the 798!
