  1. I will check it tonight when I get home and post the SS and model #. Thanks for the help RM, greatly appreciated.
  2. RM, Thanks for the link. I tried, however when I pick one there are no schematics for any of the snap shots. Don't know why, thanks again for the link.
  3. I'm trying to repair a friends Quantum Snapshot reel for his son. I need a schematic if possible. It is about a 17 year old reel. Tried Mikes Reel Repair online but the schematics are not very clear. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  4. They just can't stand the sight of a worm! They got to eat it!
  5. Texas rigged worm, at least 7 inches long. Too tempting to pass up!
  6. Top water bite has been non-existent here in SW Ohio. Been trying 3-4 time a week weather dependent. Finally broke through last night. Tiny torpedo, Heddon, nice LMB 16.5 inches long, 9 inches girth. I'm on the board. As for the fishing, I’ve been slaying them with a Carolina rigged worm almost every time out. Just not into the top water or I'm leaving to go to bed before they are hitting.
  7. Yup, went out on Tuesday night, no top water hits at all. Switched over to a grub and caught a 17inch long 10 inch girth LMB right away. Wanted to cry!
  8. Caught a few more with the high water tonight. Got dumped on last few days, caught a small window tonight. Have taken your advice and switched to 8lb yozuri line, they are putting up quite a fight now. 2+ lb nice fight.
  9. Jigfishn10, I'm in, first year of top water great way to learn some more form the group. I’ll be representing the southwestern portion of Ohio.
  10. Couple more good sized bass tonight, all on 3 inch Berkely power bait watermelon grub, 6lb test.
  11. I've been reeking havoc with a watermelon colored grub from Berkeley.
  12. Water levels still changing rapidly with the rain, air temps and pressure also changing, but the fish still keep hitting. I caught 6 bass in about one hour tonight. Largest was 2 and 3/4 lb on 4lb test, 1/64oz jig head with a Bass pro squirming squirt. I usually catch crappie with it but I guess he/she was hungry. Man what a fight. Changed over to a larger set-up with 6lb test and a 3 inch Berkeley grub-watermelon color, caught 5 more bass, largest 1 and 1/2 lb down to less than a lb. Rain moved in and so did I. no pictures because I thought I would not catch much with the low pressure and rain.
  13. I mostly fish out my back door in my neighborhood. Three separate retention ponds with very little pressure, although there have been some additional fishermen lately. I have fished at Beckett Park as well with mild success. No boat so I shore fish except for an occasional trip down the Little Miami or a trip out to eastern Ohio at Senecaville Lake.
  14. Very nice, what were you using to catch the fish?
  15. Yup, agreed. I fish the retention ponds in my subdivision. It is almost like having my own aquarium. The fish just can not help themselves. I've noticed that the strength of the fish has increased dramatically with the water temperature rising. Man is this addictive or what.
  16. I don't, if you try I would recommend going upstream off the main water, not really sure what you would catch....
  17. David, If you have a boat I would add Brookville lake in IN to the list of places to fish. It is just across the boarder off I-74. I've got a buddy who fishes there and does well. Birdy
  18. David, Nope, I don't have a boat yet. I did buy my kids a couple of sit on top kayaks that I'm sure will make it into a few of the waterways around here soon. I have fished the Little Miami and the Great Miami and the Miami white water river all with some success. I have caught a few smallies and a gar or two. I learn a little more each time out. I would suggest the Licking and other rivers (if there are some I'm not sure) prior to the Ohio unless your hunting cats. Birdy
  19. Caught the LMB in my avatar on 6lb trilene mono, also caught a 3 foot long shovel head with 4lb test, actually I hooked it in a fin, so technically that did not count.
  20. I was pumped when I missed the first two, fought one for a good two minutes before it spit it out. I really do like to battle them with the lighter weight equiptment. Do miss my fair share but it is a blast when you land them. Thanks again Jigfishn10.
  21. True true Jigfishn10, caught this one today on a micolite rod, 4lb test, tiny swimbait with a 1/16 oz jig head, missed two others right before another storm. Learning a lot this last few years from all of you. Thanks.
  22. What a bummer, the water was at the regular depth by the time I got home, did catch one small bass, oh well, thanks for the advice all, I really do appreciate all the help I get here.
  23. Holy crap, that is a monster Dwight. Beautiful fish.
  24. Got lucky with the house location that is all.
  25. Dwight, We are a few weeks ahead here in Southwestern OH. Our lakes are warming up, keep you chin-up, you be catching smallie in no time. birdy
