If you are talking about your spool tension knob then you need to tighten just enough to where there is no left and right play on the spool. Most if not all reels will have play when the tension is loosened all the way.
Hello fellow bass fisherman and fisherwomen, my names Steve and I used to bass fish alot but now mostly go after crappie. I have two sons they're 10 and 14 and they love to bass fish so they have kinda pulled me back into it. I guess thats a good thing.
