  1. I don't like them because I keep stickin my fingers with them. I've never drawn blood with factory hooks, but since switching to these kvd trebles I've had to break out the first aid kit quite a few times.
  2. saw one still floating out at sea and it attracted dolphin. had a great time caught several dolphin.
  3. maybe its just me but I didn't see anywhere on your website that said 7 per pack. I thought they were $4.99 a piece and imediately wrote them off. Maybe I missed it.
  4. I've never heard of that. I feel bad for laughing at that. sorry
  5. x2 on the cocktail
  6. Same here... :-/ I fish along side a lot of shore anglers and i can tell you 75% of them are meat hunters.Even had a few get mad at me when they see me releasing a good size bass. Then i get bugged by them to give them my next catch. I love releasing catfish in front of meat hunters. they get so mad and give me dirty looks. I just like to fish, thats all that needs to be said.
  7. ive seen smallies do it, however i do believe it was a diferent smallie that hit the lure the second time.
  8. By Rockfish, are you referring to Striped Bass? I would love to catch them with regularity. yes to the striped bass. was catching them on the elk on top water and have seen them up in the susqy feeding on shad
  9. I live in MD and want to go smallmouth fishing this fall up north maybe champlain, erie or somewhere else. What are some good lakes to go to for a weekend trip and how late into the fall is still productive.
  10. My first tournament as a pro was the recent northern open. I did terrible. No keeper bass on day one and only two 12"er's on day two. Throughout practice I was able to catch smallmouth consistenly and large ones at that. The largemouth bite was rough, but I had a few spots. I decided to fish smallmouth at first, and of course the bite shut down. I went to my largemouth spots only to find crabbers dropping traps along the ledge I wanted to fish. On day two I went back to the smallmouth and was able to catch two and then went to a ledge for some largemouth. Now at this point, I had no chance of fishing for money so it was all for fun now. I hooked and lost a very large largemouth, and missed a couple. It then dawned on me that I should've came to this spot early on day one and not waited. I probably could have competed. Hindsight is 20/20. I have been very upset with my performance all week and have been thinking about the should've could've why didn't I do this instead of that. I learned alot. Met some great people. And I can't wait to do it again.
  11. an anything goes forum would be good. I'm always biting my tongue.
  12. I have a Kistler micro magnesium and have tried it with different reels and different types of lures. I have yet to notice an improvement in sensitivity or casting accuracy. I actually think I can feel the line more when casting due to the coils of line hitting the eyes. I also think the eyes are more fragile, I bend them more easily when sliding in rod locker. I will not be buying another micro.
  13. Has anybody been catching any bass recently on the upper bay. I've been out several times recently with no luck. I keep catching rockfish and catfish. It's really getting frustrating. >
  14. the bite has been tough. I've caught more catfish and rockfish than bass, on bass lures. good luck. let us know how you do.
  15. KVD and Reese win tournaments thats the first thing they do for their sponsors and the most important. If you don't win, or atleast consistently place at the top, then who will care about you and what products you are promoting.
  16. with no info, I would idle around surveying the shore and watch my electronics looking for structure.
  17. what would you do with 92 bass? :'(
  18. imho, between 10 and 15. I wonder if he will fizzle out. I'm sure KVD is in his head just like Kriet. Skeet may never recover.
  19. Great story. and it makes me miss the little ole tackle shops that used to be around.
  20. I also t-rig most of the time and have to say that buying a higher end rod has changed the way I fish the t-rig. I feel so much more now and the biggest difference is that I can feel a pickup on the fall on slack line.

    Weight size

The rate of fall is also affected by pegging the weight or not. If you do not peg the weight the lure will lag behind.
  22. senkos are a dink magnet, atleast in my neck of the woods.
  23. " Seriously Honey, it's an investment, this tackle may help me win that upcoming tournament."
  24. being paranoid. if something was wrong you would hear it or feel it in the motor. And there would be more than just some scratches.
  25. KVD and Ray Scott
