  1. i bought a few from bass dozer..they are very high quality. i like double willow most of the time. colorado for muddy or at night. gonna try the indiana blades as soon as it warms up. i'm hopin' a little different blade might work in pressured water
  2. i've got 3 ugly stiks (spinning) and they do extremely well....for the price..in the $40-$50 range....you can't beat them imho...
  3. Jigs I lose way too many in the rocks X2
  4. does anyone know much about these? i can pick one up for about $35... is that a good deal? i can't find anything on the web?? told by seller that is is 8bb and retails for about $45?? thanks..
  5. how do these 2 mix? powerbait has a pretty good (crawfish??) scent to it....so is it ok to use JJ's also??
  6. hard to beat trilene XL or XT.. tried and true
  7. i love this bait...incredible action....weightless or small weighted hook....can swim it or jerk it gotta try it on a head shaker/swormin hornet..
  8. what is your favorite? color? hook size? i like a white fluke 3/0 EWG gammie i saw some Yamamoto shad shade worms on sale for $3....but they didn't look at good as the fluke??
  9. i use 1/0 Mustad weedless wacky... wireguard is pretty durable and hook stays sharp. i've caught over 20 fish on one hook.
  10. i need some help please. i've located a couple of these reels on ebay...new in box for about $50-60. are these good?? i appreciate any info/feedback you can give me. thanks..
  11. what is your favorite wacky worm color? hook size? do you use an o-ring?
  12. what colors are your favorite?
  13. what is best?? i've heard so much about this stuff....from everyone here... now need some help please... thanks
  14. i like the 7" in black and red shad. weightless or 1/4oz bullet sinker. worked/swim slowly 10" black/blue and tequila sunrise weightless or 1/4 to 3/8oz bullet sinker. worked the same
  15. what is your favorite? color and size?
  16. just got my first batch of JJ's (clear)....wow!! it's stong can't wait for the ice to thaw so i can use it just wondering a couple things.. after dipping a plastic and fishing with it...is it ok to put back in bag with the rest of the same type plastics? or do i want to keep it seperate? or with other plastics i have dipped? do i want to take the jar with me......or pre-dip some different plastics before i go and pack them together? when not fishing in tournaments i fish exclusively from the bank. is it going to smell up my whole tackle bag if i pre-dip?? and then after i fish and pack back up? :-/ thanks....
  17. i use the gallon size freezer bags and label them for each type of plastic (stick, curly tail, finesse, etc.) to keep at the house. i fish from the bank...so i don't want to carry a full bag of any one type..i don't need 10-15 one bait. so i take how ever many i think i may need of each type for that trip and put them in a zip lock baggie. and put those in my tackle bag. i doubt that you will go through 10-15 of any one type plastic on one trip.
  18. Another vote for Zoom finesse and trick worms. Trick worms most of the time, and the smaller finesse if the bite is slow X3 trick worm in motor oil red and bubblegum finesse worm in watermelon seed and just picked up new color... greenpumpkin magic...it looks awesome!
  19. anyone use these? a local tackle store has them on sale for $2 a bag. i didn't know if they were good or not?? colors?? thanks....
  20. i use 3/8oz but i'm guessing i use lighter tackle than the other responses. i only use spinning reels and use a 7ft med rod. i don't have the finances to buy specific combo for each type of fishing so i try to go with a general use set up for everything.
  21. has anyone used this...with any luck?? i picked one up late last year and only had time to throw it once..seemed like it had good swimming action. what do you think is best? swim it fast....shallow? or...let it sink and fish it deeper? i've never used a hard swim bait. what time of year? what conditions?
  22. Gamakatsu 5/0 Offset Round Bend Worm Hook X3
  23. Trilene XL is an eXtreme Limp mono and generally a real fine line. Not as tough as some but is very easy casting on spinning gear... X2
  24. i don't think color really matters in top water.. imho
  25. i am one of those who use spinning exclusively... i use Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra soft (thanks to RW) 6lb...which test out at 11.9.... and/or Trilene XL 8-10lb i also use KVD line conditioner..
