  1. i use the offset round bend for worms, senkos and ribbon tails...they seem (to me) to come through cover better. i'll also use them on ultra-vibe and speed craws if i'm texas rigging those, but more often i'm using those with a weighted EWG swim type hook. i'll use EWG for thicker plastics....beavers..etc.
  2. i use the ultra soft exclusively. 8lb. i love it! i do use the KVD line conditioner on it...and it helps. i think it has more memory on some of my reels due to the smaller size of the spool.....but once it is treated with the KVD it works like a dream...couldn't be happier after 3 seasons with it.
  3. ok...thanks guys... it's my first BC and i didn't know 3in1would be ok to use...or sewing machine oil and had no idea what size wrench.... thanks for bein so quick....
  4. i bought a Citica this past fall.... i haven't got to use it much it all because of the weather... here's where i need some help.. we recently moved and my wife threw away the box it came in along with the tool and the oil. so i'm hoping someone here has a spare tool that will work and some extra oil. i'll be glad to pay shipping. thanks...
  5. no music. i'm there to "get in tune" with nature and all the surroundings. when i bank fish, there is nothing better than just me...nature...and hopefully fish.
  6. great with a 2/0 or 3/0 weighted hook. swim it slow for this time of year. or bounce it...slow... one of my favorite baits. in summer i use the bigger size speed craw too.
  7. i would be interested. depending on when. its a 2 1/2 hour trip but sounds worth it. i do not have a boat.... let me know if you want/need a co-angler
  8. i bought the Texas Tackle ones and they are so easy to use!! i've changed dozens of hooks already. thanks for the good recommendation!
  9. i live in Bedord...work in Bloomington.
  10. Gamakatsu's are a good value. and a great hook. IMO
  11. Lake Fork live magic shad on a scrounger head Bandit 100 various colors Senko 5" pumpkin w/black a green flake
  12. thanks guys.. Texas Tackle it will be..... i just read about them thru the link and on their website.. ordering today..
  13. what specific brand would you recommend? i seem to be replacing more and more hooks, either on used crankbaits or swapping on new ones. i bought some on EBay... Southbend brand... but they don't work very well... i end up using my fingernails..(no fun) to finish the job. i looked on EBay again and see some from Rapala, Berkley, etc. what specific ones do you use and like? or if you have some you would sell that would be good too.. thanks..
  14. Get on Youtube and look up Ima Roumba and watch and learn will do....good advice...thanks..
  15. yes, it is the LC jointed/feathered that i am talking about....i have it but have not had the chance to use it much. i didn't know if the Roumba was/is a different type lure that i should add to my "collection". ?? sounds like it does have a different action...
  16. for those that have tried or use both of these... are they the same type bait...same action...or different? and would you recommend one over the other? thanks..
  17. 7" Powerbait and Zoom u-tail are my go to worms with the Anaconda 3rd.
  18. swim senko for me. simple and very versatile.
  19. Power Pro............is it the best/most advanced braid?? No, but it's inexpensive, does the job, and available just about every where I go. It's also never cost me a fish, or caused me any problem. So why fix what ain't broke? X2
  20. 4" Yamamoto double tail hula grub.... with as light as weight as you can get by with...worked slow.. has worked for me.
  21. i've got 2 Presidents and use them 3-4 times a week for the past 5 years and they have never failed me. can't beat them for the price. IMO
  22. thanks guys... sounds like if i can get them at the right price....i should. good to hear that they deflect off cover well... thanks..
  23. wondering if anybody uses these to give me an opinion... how are they in cover? do they deflect good? it seems like the bill on them is not real big to deflect well.... i've got a buddy who is offering some of these to me for a little under their retail price...he just says he has too many cranks..(don't we all). he has all sizes...are they worth the $$? thanks..
  24. crankbait.. i've got water temp of 53 here and a crankbait has been the ticket..
