  1. Thanks again Kevin! All the support from back home made the difference for me I think . heard its been super tough out on the lakes so I'm looking forward to getting back out there and figuring them out this sunday. I'll see you on the water soon!
  2. being a co angler is definitely worth it . you will learn more than you can ever imagine fishing in a B.A.S.S open event behind a pro. most of them are very nice and will give you advice if you ask the right questions. its an experience that is well worth the entry fee in my opinion. plus you have the opportunity to win a boat. whats not to like? lol
  3. i may be available to link i have to check the schedule first to make sure it wont conflict. will let you know something soon
  4. there is actually like 2 spots that deep in there. the pipe in the back has 12 foot of water in a bowl shape out in front of it
  5. hard to beat the suffolk lakes still in my opinion but i know how that drive can be a real pain day in and day out. not sure how far you are from bobs fishing hole on the northwest but it is fishing very strong right now. also when spring comes around dont hesitate to check out back bay. its coming back in a big way
  6. this time of the year west neck is gonna fish really tough. if i was you i would try bobs fishing hole on the northwest river in chesapeake, throw jerkbaits and jigs, also i would check out all the norfolk drinking lakes in the city of suffolk. lake prince western branch, and burnt mills are all very good options full of very big fish. you will need a norfolk boat permit for these lakes though
  7. sunline is the only way to go imo . bps brand is also not bad option if you want to save a few bucks
  8. i have a pretty good idea of what is gonna happen as far as the irs is concerned but have any of you on here ever won a boat? and if so what route did you take? i know the basic pros and cons of keeping or selling but id like to chat with someone who has went through the experience so i know what im in for. any help would be greatly appreciated guys
  9. i just picked up two chronarchs for $150 a piece so there are definitely better deals out there in your price range
  10. new co -angler to the tour looking to possibly split hotel fees etc. with another angler in the tournamnet
  11. I fell down in the bottom of the boat on day one and broke my hand so I had a tough tournament from the start. I braced it all up but I still had a lot of trouble pitching and setting the hook so I only managed 1 fish a day ( it was a miracle I even had that). It was a great experience regardless and I got to meet and hang out with every big name pro you could imagine so despite my performance I had a blast. I'll be back for redemption and next time I'm gonna kick toho's butt
  12. I just registered in the southern open on Toho as a co-angler and i was looking to hopefully chat with some other competitors before i make the trip down to Kissimee this January about what i should expect and how i should prepare. Also i was hoping to possibly link up and split the cost of a hotel room with someone and just wanted to know a few people before i got all the way down there. Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  13. im not really allowed to speak on my personal favorite..butt.. mine is listed below.. granted theres dozens of different lines out there and there almost all good.. experiment with fluro and mono and braid and find something you have confidence in.. its hard to decipher the best in this day and age but finding a good line that your comfortable with will make all the difference in the world
  14. heres my experince with a skeet reese spinerbait rod. 1st cast with a unweighted fluke and a 5/0 hook .. SNAP! the rod broke right i half .. so needless to say im not a fan
