  1. Either 2 or 4 stroke.
  2. I am looking for a trouble free, reliable, durable outboard motor in around the 25hp range. I would like to see some recommendations. Thanks.
  3. Will be coming to Az. for the week of March 27 to April 3. Would like to find a guide for a day to put us on some bass or crappie. Am considering Havasu, Roosevelt, Alamo, or ? What is a good bet ? Thanks.
  4. Guess what I am saying is that safety and stability and cost of ownership are the primary concerns. I know that "bigger" waters are relative, however it doesn't matter if I am fishing the local 150 acre lake are take the craft out the the local 5,000 acre reservoir...Kansas spells WIND. I have done research but would like to hear from you guys that actually fish out of these two man type boats. Thanks to all for your replies.
  5. I'd like to find a decent two man plastic boat that with a sufficient trolling motor can handle some bigger water. Looking for some recommendations.
  6. ....one that fits in the back of a pickup truck and can be fished in all types of water, big and small, and in a variety of conditions. I am considering a kayak, however, I may be overlooking some other options that I am unaware of. I know about the the small 2 man "bass raider" type, and peddle yaks "hobie". ....but was hoping for other suggestions.
  7. I have two prez's and two arbors...decent reels. The prez's are smoother I think, but the arbors casts better.
  8. I ordered spare spools direct from Diawa...one each for my 1300 and 1600.
  9. I have one and mainly throw a 1/8 weight with worm or 3/16 jig. Also throwing topwater poppers with it. All around rod, but mainly with the lower end weight. Highly recommend one.
  10. RW these happen to be Dale Hollow strain smallies that were stocked in this particular Kansas lake. I have not fished this lake for smallies, but am excited to give it a try.
  11. This coming weekend I will be fishing a lake where "the spawn should be in full swing", a quote from the fish biologist. Please advise on locations, time of day, lures, etc.
  12. I have an older cabelas tourney trail 6.5 M spinning rod that is an awesome multi purpose rod. Problem is is that it is heavy and has a thick cork reel handle. I'd like to find a rod that will cast 1/16 jig and grub on up for multi species angling and have a lighter weight. What do you guys recommend ?
  13. Does anyone use the newer updated version spinning reel ? If so, please list your likes and dislikes. I'm interested in the 30 series.
  14. I'm all ears on this one.
  15. Yes....Powell has great customer service.....Falcon not so. My experience.
  16. I've fished both the revo stx and '09 pro qualifier. I sold the stx and kept the PQ. Really nice reel for the sale price I paid.
  17. Have a 683. Excellent rod for the money. Broke one....excellent warranty service. Get one.
  18. Thanks guys.
  19. I bought an acoustic guitar last month and have been trying to teach myself via the internet. After all, I basically learned how to bass fish from these forums. So...anyone.....can you offer some sound advice to help a total newbie get off on the right foot ?
  20. anyone use the owner twistlock hook ?
  21. Was wondering what is the best type and size of hook to use on those ribbits.
  22. I just bought one of those prolite finesse reels for $69 and was actually talking about that reel today. Telling everyone how that reel performs as well as my $200 plus reels. Don't know what the longevity of this reel will be, but so far, I am impressed.
  23. I'll second that.....very solid reel.....excellent caster, but don't buy it for the twitchin bar. It's a reel that doesn't get alot of praise, but at what they are going for on ebay....an excellent buy.
  24. I've read the customer reviews and they are very favorable. Does anyone here have actual hands on with this reel ? Was wondering if this reel is worth the current sale price.
  25. Would like to know which is the better all around caster ?
