  1. Good ole GEORGIA............Go You Hairy DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!! I live here in LaGrange with WEST POINT butting up against my backyard. I leave the house and 1 minute later I'm backing my bassboat in the water. When things get rough on the big water as in them fishes get lockjaw I have about 10 private lakes with some good ole big uns in em; LOL.
  2. Thanx a lot for the response. I'll be adding it shortly and we will see what happens.
  3. I am adding a jack plate to my boat and will need a longer cable. Anyone have a link to lowest prices or does anyone have a used 14' cable? Thanx a mill
  4. Ok Ok I am 1 of those that has a lot of different reels; Shimano Anteres Scorpion,Tica Sculptors, Daiwa Advantage, Bass Pro Extreme,Pleuger Supreme and Summit,Ambassadeurs,Lews etc etc etc. BUT right now the reel I really consider my FAVORITE is a Bass Pro Qualifier in a 6.3:1 ratio. I can throw any thing I want and it never gives me a seconds worth of trouble. The drag is awesome and I can literally throw it all day. It rests on a 6'6" All Star rod and I would not take all the Curados in the world for it. Just my 2 cents worth. ;D ;D
  5. Sweetwater ; I have fished the Hooch you are referring to several years ago with my partner. I had read an article in Georgia Outdoor News about huge Stripers that had traveled up the chattahoochee river on their spawning run and when they got up to Morgan Falls d**n they decided to stay because of all the trout to gorge themselves on. We rode 14 miles up that CESSPOOL you so lovingly refer to. People let me tell you; the city of Atlanta, Ga. dumps their sewage treatment waste water into the river at 9 locations out of 8 foot in diameter concrete pipes. The foam which arises up from this discharge reaches a foot high and the fumes will burn you eyes and throat worse tham ammonia. Yes, sweetwater I did catch some nice bass along our way up to a place where the city of Atlanta has placed car sized boulders across the river to stop anyone from continuing on up river where 2 and 3 million dollar homes are on the rivers edge. You can bet there is no sewage running in the river that far up. But what really amazed me was the people that were fishing below these discharge pipes. I sure hope you folks are not eating these radioactive fish. There is even a power plant right beside the river which releases it wastewater into the river. On our trip we saw washing machines, old tires, wooden pallets, dead animals, polyethylene sheeting, furniture and every filthy thing you can imagine. I guess what I am B........about is I live here on West Point Lake 70 miles downstream from this ceespool and need to vent about it. I just hope by the time it reaches us it has filtered out a little bit. I went one time and have never been back. I could not imagine walking to a spot like that to wet a hook. Tight lines dude!!!!
  6. The Smiley should have been ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  7. Well shoot LOW BUDGET; you reckon I might could get a chance to go fishing with that gal you had in the boat with you on the other post where she hung up on that stick? HMMMMMMMMM???
  8. Underneath the top you will find 3 screws. Remove them and take the top off. You will see a small bolt which goes through the shaft. Remove this and rotate the head 180 degrees. Replace the bolt, put everything back together and it is ready for bow mount.
  9. You were working the hell out of the thing. 45lb thrust on 5 speed.!!!!!!! One thing will help; make sure you use the largest size wire you can. Usually size 6 is put in boats but I rewired mine with #4. NOOOOOOO PROBLEMMMM
  10. All I will say is when you hook a bass it does'nt matter if you are in a canoe or a 21 foot triton. Up until you grab that baby and have a hold on her and release her back into the water it's the best feeling in the whole world. That rush of adrenaline is UGGGHHHHH _________GREAT!!!!!! Now back to those guys with the $40,000 + rigs. I sure would hate to be putting GAS in those babies.
  11. YUP It is an OLD MONARK. I had a 16 fter that I used to chase strippers here on the chattahoochee river. Had a 20 merc jacked up so I could negotiate the shoals. I still miss that old boat unlike some of my old lady friends. LOL
