  1. Hello all What's the difference between the two? Thanks. Want to use one for plastics/senkos, not sure which on to try.
  2. I'm not ripping on you, man, just saying alternatives exist. Someone looking for a quality bc have more options than they sometimes realize. Now, go fish! No problem, I was just having fun back at ya.
  3. Bull***t! Abu Garcia C3 - $79, maybe less. Excellent reel. I got my only bc (Daiwa Procaster 100h, older model) for $30. No, not as smooth, palmable or as light as a new curado. But for $30, metal frame, smooth, and reasonably well built. Take some time to explore your options. WELL EXCUSE ME!!! LOL I didn't say lower priced ones won't work, I just believe the higher end ones are smoother and easier to learn on. I should have added IMO to my post becaue it's Just my opinion.
  4. Thanks for all the replies. I plan on doing more cranks this year, I'm a newbe with jerkbaits, but going to work on them as well.
  5. Don't buy a baitcaster less then 100 duckies.
  6. I was under the assumption MONO is best for crankin due to is stretch, but then I hear many use fluro which doesn't stretch. So which is it? I take it if you use line with less stretch you would need a soft tip rod/medium?? Thanks
  7. Wow, I'm a little surprised Trilene 100% PG is winning so far in the poll. Has any one tried both.
  8. Thinking of trying on of these, but wanted some feedback here. Has anyone tried both? if so, which one did you like and why? Thanks
  9. Yeah, I like it already, more action here then forum I was on.
  10. Greenville.
  11. Thanks, I do want to try it, or XPS. Any site you recommend ordering it from?
  12. hello all I'm Rob from NC. I got hooked on bassin after moving here from Cali. Every year I learn more and getting better results. I love reading the posts here and asking questions. Half the fun of bassin is talking baits and such, then going to make it work. God bless
  13. Has anyone tried Seaguar Invinz or the new Triline 100% flurocarbon???
  14. Any suggestion for other fluros I could try/
  15. I have used the floroclear, but seems to have some memory to it. Has any one used both? and which one was smoother? I'm looking for something different for my wormin rod. Thanks
  16. Can a rod be used for crankbaits and jerkbaits as well? I was thinkning a medium with fast action, sound about right? Also thinking about 12 lb test line. Thanks for all the input, every year I want to pick something new to explore to add to my arsenol. I think I want to try crankbaits more and start on jerkbaits.
  17. hello all I have never given jerkbaits much consideration, but today I used one that I bought from a friend last night and boy did it work, not even sure if i was using it right and I caught most of my fish today on it. What line and rod/reel setup should be used for jerbaits? Thanks
