  1. I have been using 5" Senko's with a 4/0 to 5/0 hook sometimes. It happened to me twice Sunday. Anyone have any suggestions why this might be happening? I've been thinking maybe I let them take the hook a little to long.
  2. I work in Kennesaw as well ! nwgabassmaster and Hammer , I'm down to go fishing pretty much anytime on the weekends. Hammer I have been hitting one pond off of Jiles road in Kennesaw in the legacy park neighborhood. The other one is in Paulding county off of Old Cartersville rd. That one is my honey hole. I'd be glad to let you or nwgabassmaster come out and check it out. I have no boat, I'm planning on gettin some type of pond boat over the winter months. Let me know, I'll see ya'll around. ;D
  3. Kennesaw, Ga here off I-75, 30 minutes above Atlanta. I fish mostly ponds in Cobb county, Pauling county and live near lake al-tuna.(my version of spelling, hope you know what lake I'm refering to)
  4. I C-rig the senko's with about 2 1/2 to 3 foot leader. I make the hook weedless and that's about it. Ofcourse I have a slip weight and 2 glass beads on the other side of the leader, making that clicking noise. Hope this helps. ;D
  5. I love C-rigs! I have had great luck from Senko's and 8" Big Ike worms. I use tunkston weights with red glass beads. ;D
  6. On the subject of losing rods and reels, when I was 12-14 years old me and a buddy were cat-fishing up in the north Georgia mountains. Well the owner of this small pond feed the catfish, so they were pretty big 15-30 pound catfish if not more. Not paying attention , I let one pull my rod and reel in. About 10-15 minutes later we were standing on the bank we see the huge cat fish moving along the bank, drag'in my rod and line behind him!!! So we ran into the water and grapped the reel and fought him in, needless to say it was a interesting day !!!! 8) ;D
  7. Can you say Carolina Rig!!! ;D
  8. In my opinion no it's not too hot for top water. Georgia angler here as well. 8)
  9. I have used spinnerbaits both ways with and without trailers. Caught fish on both! I never use live bait, just soft plastics.
  10. Really!!! I've had the same problem, and if I manage to get it on, it never comes back off with out cutting it!
  11. That's nice man, very nice. Makes me want to restore one as well. Sweet get-up man.

  14. Awsome stuff guy's. This is making for a great thread. I'm in Georgia so really I have to worry about copperheads and rattle-snakes. The whole thing about snakes jumping from trees into boats, I've heard of that aswell.
  15. Anyone on this board been bit by a snake and or had a friend that it's happen too? Also Has anyone ever died because of it? I'm a pond fisher mostly and I have yet to run across one. (knock on wood) 8)

  20. I would rate myself as a novice fisher. All I have done is freshwater fish for mainly Bass. I would love to go on a deep sea fishing trip with a good guide and or a bass fishing trip with a guide. I don't own a boat aswell. But my father and I are looking into a small pond boat.
  21. Hey thanks for tip! I appreciate it very much.
  22. I'm kinda with you on what your saying, If I were to go though would it be all about a noise making lure or bright colors? I guess I'm trying to convince myself I can catch bass in muddie water. Man I have the Bass fever! ;D
  23. Anyone think it's a waste of time. Here in Georgia it there has been alot of rain from hurricane Dennis. All of the ponds and creeks are muddie and overflowing. You guy's think fish are feeding in muddie waters?
  24. OK here is the scoop... What it's called is a DEPTHERM. Anyone tried it out? ???
