  1. what kinda chop are we talkin about...like great lakes chop? ive been in a couple different kinds on lake erie with 4-5 footers (which isnt all that big for lake erie). i think champion and basscats are the best that ive ridden in. but if youre gonna fish that kinda water, you need a 20'er +. and thatd be kinda hard to do with $8500. but like tip said....there are some other options. ive never been on one, but i think its a bass tracker targa, or tundra....something cold....that has like half decks. or a crestliner fish hawk

  5. lol...my little brother was like this when we were younger. after so long i started ignoring him when he caught one. at first he would use the pliers and the weight of the fish to release it over the side of the boat. but when he really got one hooked and had to bring it in the boat, and messed with it for like 2 minutes, i finally yelled at him and told him that i was gonna throw him in the lake if he let that fish die. that worked.
  6. welcome to the site Bob. you cant beat lake arthur. it spoils you though. you dont even need to work to catch fish there. what a fun lake!

  12. some athletes are fishermen, but all fishermen are not athletes. the word "athlete", these days, is a generic term referring to anyone that plays a sport. to me, an athlete is someone that participates in a physically strenuous sport in which they have to practice and train, for year round in order to maintain supreme physical condition. or someone that possesses physical talents in different areas of sport, and maintains a high physical level on their own.
  13. smaller ones you can grab around the belly with your thumb behind one pectoral fin, your index finger in front of the other pectoral fin and the rest of your fingers behind that fin. bigger ones, gill plate or in the mouth
  14. yeah, age was the only factor involved. regardless of if hes superman, some 15 y/os have sponsors. plus there are a lot of junior pro staffs out there.
  15. ahhhh come again??? they are both sponsorships. you dont have to give either of them any money. and yes a 15 y/o can get sponsored. it is not recommended, but they can. i know a young man that fished the jr. classic that is doing very well for himself.
  16. oh, im not talkin about swimbaits.......musky lures, cheapest lure you can find that is any good is at least 14 bucks. average price of lures is about 30 bucks a pop.

  18. also do this on a drop shot rig if your hook is pointing down after you tie the knot. but you have to take the excess back through the hook eye.
  19. the most heart breaking thing in the world is to have the line your line foul up on a homerun cast, snap, and see your $60 bait sail off. i have nightmares about that.
