  1. Hey everyone I just wanted to ask .... is a moss covered jig after almost every cast normal? or am I doing something wrong?..... same happens to me for texas rigged plastic worms.... I dont get snagged I just get covered with weeds, seems impossible for me to fish slowly, the only way I can avoid weeds is by casting and reeling constantly.
  2. alright ill give it a shot thanks both of you.
  3. well I just bought a new bait casting reel (Pro Qualifer) off of ebay, after using my diawa bait casting reel which I have used ever since I was 10 haha im 22 now. I am not too expirence with pitching..... just recently learned about it from youtube actually.... kinda got the hang of it i guess. But I get bad back lashes from it even before the lure hits the water ..... but when i tighten the spool it won't go out far enough barely even 10 feet.... and I am not too sure what to do with the nob on the other side of the reel handle... it goes from 0 to 10...... my old reel just had a line on it going from skinny to wider.... probably didnt even work right. I got the hang of keeping it form being backlashed by casting it over my shoulder all the time, I know all about the thumb holding, but now I think the bearings are shot on it cause it is very tight when casting and reeling in even after lubing it... so any suggestions on how to adjust my new reel would be great, I am a plastic worm fisherman for the most part with it.... but spinner bait/jig adjustments would be great also
