  1. Peanut Butter is the best
  2. It's the Yo-Zuri Rattl N' Vibe
  3. I never am on the water without both of them. I use JJ's when the bite is real tough. It has gotten me bites tons and tons of times when I couldn't buy a bite on anything else. It seems that when there real finicky, a straight tail worm with a dip of the Magic will get them to commit. When the bite seems on, I always use Megastrike. I think it makes the bait feel way more natural to the fish and the amino acids definitely help them hold it longer. I also use Megastrike on all my soft swimbaits to help prevent tearing
  4. Not personally, but I heard from many on the water observers this weekend in Birmingham that Ike was indeed throwing it.
  5. Me and Tin agree on pretty much everything, but this is one we will never agree on. Ovechkin is a great hitter/player imo, and since he hit's so often, a questionable hit is bound to happen every so often. Where Tin is seeing him leaving the ice in what would be called a charge, I just see a check where he starts low and explodes upward and the force pops him up a bit..... And Tin, don't even begin to say Brashear is a good hitter....he is the cheapest %*$&@($ in the league... ;D And to prove my point, here is a great example....
  6. These cats are hilarious. It was great eating dinner with them and watching the wheels fall off the bus. HAHA! Looking forward to seeing them again.
  7. As much as I dislike Tru-Tungsten, I gotta say that most likely it's your knot breaking from you tying a bad knot, because Tru-Tungsten weights are the best when it comes to taking care of your line. Unless you have a weight or two with a knick in the insert and that's what's breaking it, I gotta say it's probably your hard hookset combined with a weak knot that is doing it. Make sure that as your tying your knot and cinching it down that you have it in your mouth as much as possible, ESPECIALLY while your tightening it down. Also, make sure that when you tighten it, you gradually increase the pressure on the knot rather than that quick jerk a lot of people do. Good luck my friend.
  8. Smokin....no shame in wearing a glove. On the lake I guide on in North Carolina, I lip so many fish that I have had days where I'm bleeding freely the whole time. I got sick of it and wear golf gloves. I wear it on my left hand and so far, one pair that I paid $12 for has probably held up to me lipping over 400-500 fish. Just go to the golf store and ask them what the most durable glove they have is. Usually the durable ones are cheaper.
  9. Senco with all do respect, you have got to get your facts straight! yes I fish the college tournaments, but I am a regional pro staffer, not a collegiate(as I was last year and your right its not a real good deal) how ever the regional pro staffer is much better. Also while i went to them in the past, they came to me this year. so please make sure you know the facts in the future. Hint: in my pic I have an FGCU Jersey on but im at the SOUTHERN OPEN at okeechobee, not a collegiate tourny. Cool deal man. Well at least your going good with them. I didn't say the thing about them coming to me as an insult to you. I was just letting everyone know I'm not a sponsor sleeper/patch pirate. A lot of guys our age do anything for "sponsors" so I was just making it clear how I go about my business, not accusing you of approaching everyone in sight. I've been extremely blessed to have the support and opportunity to represent the companies I do, I just really hate to see a company like Fish Harder Co. take advantage of the young and uneducated....but I guess that's business. Hope everything continues well with Tru-Tungsten
  10. For everyone wanting to attend the dinner on Saturday night, it's going to be at Ruby Tuesdays at 8p.m. Address is.... 2000 Highland Ave S Birmingham, AL Ruby Tuesdays number: (205)-967-1384
  11. Tommy and EasternPA, I would love to hear the deals you have. And Tommy, be honest. I don't know you so I'm not saying your gonna lie or not, I just happen to know exactly the deal they offer the guys involved with college tournaments, so just know that it would be pointless to make it look like your not getting low balled since I already know what they do. I was with them for around 3 years then left because of the horrendous offer I was given. It was a straight slap in the face to me and some real close friends of mine who are real talented and sell TT's product better than anyone I know. The only sponsorships I agree to have are ones which have products I truly believe in and I don't have a limit on what I can get. That is why I'm so selective on who gets my representation. I also don't go to companies asking either. When they come to me, I have the upper hand in starting negotiations.
  12. Don't even waste your time man. Unfortunately, me and many others had a massive fallout with them. I don't want to post details, but many of the people on this forum or any other forum with TT in their signature are being low balled. Pretty much anyone can get on board with them now, because they totally restructured their "pro-staff" plan, where as it used to be a legitimate program that rewarded both parties for hard work. Now it's like ESOX rods patch pirate program. So if you feel like being taken advantage of, send emails to Tim, Dan, and Tom Jr. Good luck my friend.
  13. If your not hooking up your frog fish, I really feel that you need to look inward rather than trying to solve the problem by switching brands. Has anyone ever seen a bass come up and eat a frog. It ain't nice. Do you really think a frog that might be "softer" is going to increase your hook up ratio? Were talking about a fish that can break a hard plastic bait in half because of how hard they eat it. Don't tell me that your not hooking them up because the frog is to hard. Work on your hookset. Most people think they are hitting the fish hard, but they aren't setting it nearly hard enough. You gotta set it with meaning. Switch brands if you want, but if you don't know how to set the hook right, your gonna keep missing em.
  14. Oh but it get's better.....how in the !*#&$(@(#*# is Mike Green not on Team Canada. The number one defenseman in the league scoring at a point a game pace....mind = blown
  15. I don't even both throwing the Jr. size. I'm sure it works for some, but I rarely lose fish with the size 65, while getting just as many bites, so why sacrifice the casting abilities you get with the 65. It's so much easier to sling under overhangs and docks. I can't wait to give the King Daddy a good workout this year. That thing is gonna catch some pigs. For people having trouble hooking/keeping fish on with the 65, try cutting a small slit in the back. This allows it to collapse way easier.
  16. Alex the Great
  17. Great tackle choices man. When your gear is at least 75% soft plastics, and you know how to use them, you will catch more fish than anyone on the lake.
  18. Yup, a great player but dirty as well. If you're going to hit and make BS leg checks take off the gay visor. He is going to either ruin his career or someone elses on of these days. He is a more talented Ulf Samuelson in my book. And Senko if you are a Bruins fan, you must hate Ulf and Ovechkin. ;D Ovi has definitely made some dirty hits but I honestly don't think it's ever been to intentionally hurt someone. I think he just plays passionately and in a spilt second bodies turn and the knees hit. I'm a Bruins fan but also a hockey fan and playing for over 10 years really makes me appreciate how he snipes. I hate Ulf, but I can't hate Ovi. I freakin love how he comes down, opens the defensmen's legs, then snipes opposite corner and the goalie never even sees it. Every time he comes to Atlanta, he makes our goalies look retarded...I love it.
  19. Knuble actually got the game winner. Ovi's shot went off the post and Knuble poked it in. Either way....Ovechkin is straight dirty. I always go to the games down here when he is in Atlanta and it's so fun to watch him. It definitely helps to have Semin and Backstrom on the same line with him but I really think he is the best to ever play the game. Dude busts his butt on every play.
  20. This, my friend, is what life is all about!
  21. Spooky Shad and Sunny Bream. Color really shouldn't be what your worried about. Finding the right groups of fish and finding the right retrieve is what's gonna matter. Good luck man
  22. This is gonna sound retarded, but it works. Trust me. If there is a black top where the water is running off into the lake, fish this area. The black tops get warm and that means warm water is flowing in the lake. If you hit it right, the fish will be stacked on these spots.
  23. In the Winter time...it's all about the spoon. Go about halfway up lake where the "duck" enters the water and that's the old highway 78 roadbed. Troll around over it and you will find fish. Spoon em up. Good luck ;D
  24. That new garlic butter crust is freakin awesome. We just ordered some for a party we had recently and people ran train on it. Def. better than the old recipe.
  25. Braid. I throw 50lb Power Pro. I like using a medium heavy to heavy rod too. Switch the front hook of your lipless crankbait to a #1 treble and take the back one off. You won't have to worry about losing big fish and that big hook usually won't tear out. Randall taught me this trick and it has bagged me some giant fish that would have most likely come off had I been using a regular setup. I know 50lb braid and a heavy rod sounds "out of the norm" but who defines what the norm is. Good luck bro ;D
