  1. I was fishing a weedbed usisg a tiny torpedp when.....wham...a seagull hit my lure & took off flying....I did what any good fisherman would do...set the hook! I fought it for a few minutes untill I got him close to the boat & netted it. stupid bird... the second I got the lure out of its mouth...wham...he hit it again! removed it again & released the dumb bird. anybody know the record size for a seagull?
  2. we just got another 20 inches of snow!!!!!! the ice on the lake is still 30 inches thick....I guess watching fishing shows & tieing flies is the closest I'll get fot another 6-8 weeks!
  3. I am a lucky guy!! my fishing buddy just bought my dream boat!! a 2011 Ranger riata(fish & ski) 20.5ft with a 275 Merc, he lives on the water 5 mins from me, I can't wait for spring!!!
  4. I was musky fishing, I had just tied on a $25 lure to my line, trimmed the tag & threw it overboard, exept....I had actualy tied on to a old piece of line that was on my boat floor. I was really confused when I picked up my rod & there was no lure attached! I have also launched the boat with no plug! I left a fishing resort in a deep hangover fog, drove 7 hours home only to realize that I had left all my clothes in my hotel room!
  5. my wife takes care of the money, when we have some "extra cash", we buy some toys! Hell, if I was in charge of paying the bills, the bank would own my house & a whole lot of fishing gear!!

  7. hey Champ champ, in my mind there is no such thing as "not cery good today", a bad day on the water beats the cr@p out of watching fishing on tv all winter! but yeah, tough going out there, it was realy hard to keep the boat on a spot, I caught some nice sm on the old RR trestle, I will be back out this week end, I fish a blue center console 16' princecraft, if you see me out there come over for a coffee

  9. it is supposed to be hot & sunny this weekend, I am planning on fishing rocky ledges & humps, use jigs reeeaaalllly slow, or if there are any leechs in your lake you could try drop-shotting a berkley alive 5" leech, let it sit in a likly area & jiggle your rod tip( keep your eye on your line, the bite will be very sutble. what lake are you fishing? I am golng to chamlain on Sat, they have a catch & release season(may 11-june ??)

  11. rooky hooky, the fishing here is awesome! it is unbelievable if you are a multi-species fisherman. the only drsg about fishing in Quebec is the fact that I literaly have 1000 lakes within a 2 hour drive, 90% of them have no public access! but that means I still have 100 lakes to fish! I live on the western tip of the island of montreal,so I will usualy fish the waters out here, if you know what part of town your uncle lives in I will be able to give you more ibfo I fish; St.Lawrance river-bass(s&l),pike, musky, carp, sturgen lac St.Louis-sm bass, pike lake of two mountains-bass,wallye,pike,gar,carp ottawa river-bass,musky you should also look into fishing lake Camplain(Vt,NY,Que) truly unbelievable fishing! is the fishing good around here? last year I went out 83 times(I keep a fishing log)usualy for 3-4 hours, I got skunked only once!

  24. I'm not sure what the laws are where you guys live, here in eastern Canada you are required to have a boaters lisence, if you get caught drinking on your boat you loose your lisence. zero tolerance! I know this may seem extreme, but concider this. 75% of all boating accidents involve a drunk driver! I thimk I'll wait till I'm at home BBQin B4 I enjoy a couple of beers. Don't DRINK & DRIVE,,,,,,,car,boat,truck,4x4,,,,still driving!
