  1. Cheap shot on Alabama after all the money we've spent with y'all hiring WI girls to pull our wagons. My wife/sister and I await your apology.
  2. Great first post. Insulting every member of this site will surely help your dock problems.
  3. I agree 100%. I work with a renew our lakes group twice a year and the amount we collect goes up every time. This past fall we collected 3 40 yd roll offs full of trash in 3 days on our small lake.
  4. I need to start hauling them down there from AL. We are infested with them up here. I was doing some work at my moms house a few weeks ago and walked outside to find 5 roaming the yard at dusk.
  5. This. A mooring bouy is the best way to account for rising water. Also make sure you have an automatic bilge pump if you leave it moored in rain uncovered.
  6. They have been chewing on us a couple weeks already down here too. Way too early for them.
  7. Today's lunch. I buy whole filets then wrap them in bacon with a little fresh ground pepper and light salt. I cook about 2 minutes on each side on the grill on high. The tapered shape of the whole filet works out perfect since the ladies get the smaller medium cooked filets while the guys get the 3 larger rare ones.
  8. Nice job Hootie.
  9. A couple treble hooks on that bass would make a good popper.
  10. I never talk about the size of another man's oar. Seriously it's impossible to tell exactly. The dip net sitting there is probably close to 2' long but it's farther away and you don't know by how much.
  11. I don't carry on the lake I live on because it's against the law and I never felt threatened. I do on other lakes because I always have a gun in my truck and I don't leave an unattended weapon at the launch. I advise you to check with law enforcement in your area first. Some waters are federal and you can get in serious trouble for carrying in some areas.
  12. This is the factory ladder Ranger used. http://greatlakesskipper.com/ranger-boats-6502119-silver-21-5-8-x-21-1-2-inch-stainless-steel-boat-boarding-ladder?gclid=CK3tr8nlsNECFdg2gQodG_EAcw
  13. We were pounded by snow for 8:00PM until 8:01PM. I'm hoping to tunnel out later to check on the neighbors.
  14. Winter boredom hits some of us harder than others.
  15. Congrats Bluebasser!
  16. If there's no witness you can do that in any state. "He chased me or blocked me from running so I shot him."
  17. Just a small 2-4 lb sledge hammer with a short handle. Pretty cheap
  18. Hitting the cup side with a pocket sledge while a buddy holds another sledge against the head always worked for me. Carriage bolts would be easier and still look like rivets though.
  19. Are you just asking how to replace existing leaking rivets or are you trying to rivet something to the hull?
  20. For the first time ever, Raiders family reunion will not have a speed dating round next year.
  21. So sorry to hear. Thoughts and prayers with your family
  22. A leak around livewell intake grommet or hose is common. With it sitting on the trailer dry start filling it with a hose and see if it drips somewhere.
  23. The TX registration should be a red flag if you're in NJ. I buy older boats that need some work and fix them up over the winter to sell in the spring. If the registration is out of state I don't even contact them. I also ask them to call me first email. If they refuse I move on.
  24. I suggest getting someone who has had Humminbird SI for a while go fishing with you. I had similar issues to start but a buddy helped me with settings and lowered the transducer a bit to clear it up.
  25. Fishing from a pontoon in any wind at all sucks. I vote fish and ski or deck boat.
