If both are interlink compatible then yes GPS will display on both. You can also pull your waypoints from the GPS unit. This is awesome if th GPS is on the console you can troll over and mark a point then use the TM mounted FF to stay on the target.
I do have a telescopic pole and and lure retriever on a string but the pole is only 16ft and the string one usually doesn't work. I didn't mind too much until I lost my favorite LC D20 today. It's embarrassing to cry with a co-angler in the boat.
Has anybody tried these? I have been fishing deep cranks in standing timber lately and I am catching a lot of fish but also loosing a lot of lures. I am curious if the ring should be lighter than the line (ex. 10lb ring with 12lb line) or if it should be the same rating.
I was just given a few of these in the 3 1/2" size and was wondering how you fish these. They look like they would be like a DT-20 or DD22 but the guy that gave them to me said to twitch them like a jerkbait. Anybody fish them or know their intended purpose?
Curado E7, I have 2 STXs but am replacing them with Curados as money allows. The 5 E7s I have do not have play in the handle and they are almost a year old.
Get a Lowrance HDS-5. It'll cost you $550 with the TM mounted puck but it's a much better image than the Humminbird. I own 2 Humminbird SI units and would rather have my HDS-5 for 2D trolling motor work. I bought mine from BPS but you can find one cheaper.
It's not clear on the site but fill out the drop downs starting here regarding a product problem. http://www.rapala.com/customer/return_request.cfm?producttype=Lures
Try Ebay for a Lowrance 510, 520, or 522. I have seen several sale for around $200 and the color screen would really help identify the deeper grass. If you have to get one of the 3 listed go with the 565.

;D
I guess that did sound bad. I meant that if people's yards DO butt up against that lake, then just buy some fillets from the store. Rather lie than die.
If she's anything like my mother-in-law, feed them to her!
I bought a BPS double worm bag and I love it. I put the original bags inside the zip locks BPS provides and a few hooks, weights, and jigheads in the zip up compartments. This works great when I'm jumping in someone else's boat to go out for the day.
five.bass.limit is dead on about where being most important. I will add that branches from hardwood trees last longer and seem to attract better quality fish. My next favorite is cedar trees. The most important thing is to send me the gps coordinates so I can try them out to make sure you did them right.
I have a 12 year nephew that has started to fish tourneys with me and he needs a dedicated shakey head spinning rod. I am looking for something like my Loomis 822 but for around $100. Any suggestions?
I fish 1/2 oz Cabelas Real Image spoons for bass. It takes some practice but once you learn to use your electronics to track the spoon you can catch big numbers. You can also launch one of these spoons a mile which is handy whe you see a school boil up.
I have used jig and pig for years to imitate craws but last year a buddy taught me to swim a jig around docks to imitate bream. Bass hammered them pre-spawn. Swimming jigs is great for people with no patience to crawl a jig on bottom.
I've always used snaps to split rings for crankbaits, jerkbaits, and topwaters like LC Sammy. I also use crane swivels about 12'' above weightless flukes on spinning gear to relieve line twist.
I had the same problem with 20# Sufix I have. After 1 year on my spinning rod it's like it got weak and broke easily in the middle of the line. I took mine off and flipped it and it works fine. I have some older 30# that is holding up fine though so I figured it was a fluke.
I have been using 20 and 40lb PP on 2 Citicas for over a year and still haven't broken any line. I use Palomar knots and double loop the arm on the spinner bait before tightening it down. If you do this and still break line call PP and complain.
