  1. I still have one. That is the worst Shimano reel I ever owned. The shift lever was right behind the drag star and always in the way.
  2. All this talk of bass jumping out of the water eating snakes, I'm never peeing over the edge of the boat again.
  3. X2 on the FnF. I would also use a jigging spoon.
  4. I'm not sure if the sale is still on but BPS had some nice ones for $25 a couple weeks ago. I boat 3 for my Jon boat.
  5. That's why I live in the middle of nowhere. The gas station down the road has a very limited tackle selection. No if I can just stop UPS from delivering to my house I'll beat the addiction.
  6. Here you go. http://www.wholesalemarine.com/recessed-trolling-motor-pedal-pan.html?gclid=COP9y5qmor0CFcyhOgodDH8AyA
  7. I usually launch at Scottsboro Municipal and fish the upper end of the lake. We did pretty good in goose pond last week on gold traps and black jigs. The fish we caught were staging on points leading to spawning pockets. All were less than 10 FOW.
  8. Why choose? I throw a couple minnows on the rods in my rod holders for crappie while I bass fish.
  9. Any of my reels will throw a 1/4 oz lipless fine but if had to pick the one that would chuck it the farthest I guess it would be my Core 50s.
  10. Where's the deep cranking or top water/jerk bait rod?
  11. Paca chunk in either PB&J or flippin brown.
  12. I have 2 also. They are a lot more rigid than you think. They are expensive but well worth it IMO.
  13. Never seen one with only one sure set hook. Was it supposed to be a sure set model?
  14. Before I bought my new boat I had 4 Brutes on different boats. There's really no tension adjustment but you can back the pinion gear off about a quarter turn to get a tighter fit to the rack. It that doesn't fix it you need new cables. The shaft bearings are also known to go out and can cause play in the steering. It's hard to say what the whining is but I would look at water getting in the foot rusting a bearing. The 6th speed is another off setting. It should look like a stop sign.
  15. I have had 3 of them over the years and never had an issue. I live on a lake and put about 200 hours a year on my motors.
  16. another site has the black ones. I've never seen the sapphire.
  17. I must just look poor. No one has ever approached me about a time share. I was at the one in Leeds today and the only person I spoke to was the cashier.
  18. Sebile magic swimmer on Clarkshill in 2009. I think Todd Faircloth won an elite event with it too.
  19. I am blaming y'all when the wife asks why I just bought all that stuff.
  20. After my recent impromptu swim I bought the new Mustang M.I.T. to keep in my aluminum boat. So far I like the way it feels. I have not had to use it yet and hope I never do. I have the high end Mustang in my other boat and it is lighter but pretty pricey. http://www.basspro.com/Mustang-Survival-M-I-T-100-Auto-Inflatable-Life-Vest/product/1210130511218/
  21. I have not been to a classic expo since it was at Lay Lake. I'm planning to go to the expo on Saturday but my time is limited. This weekend is the wife's birthday so the best I can manage is sneaking away for a few hours. How long do you think it will take to see the whole expo? I don't care about the weigh in as they draw that out for hours just the booths in the BJCC.
  22. I have a Lowrance 4X Elite on my kayak and I really like it for about $100. Like Wayne said the more you spend the more you get.
  23. I have a Marmot snow suit from my snow machine riding days in Buffalo that is more than enough for anything we have in Alabama. They are very expensive but if you check eBay during the summer you might find a used one cheap.
  24. X2 I have a P238 Equinox I carry sometimes.
  25. Mine weren't like that either. Send it back.
