I forgot where he went but Victor "Macho" Harris from VA Tech. That dude is wicked whereever they put him. I think he might be on the eagles. His story was pretty inspiring.
Ralph Stanley?
Yes, Ralph Stanley. He lives about 20 minutes from here. See him in the grocery store about two or three times a year.
I figured that's who he meant. Ralph Stanley is a legend in bluegrass, is he not?
my mistake. Charles Stanley is the church guy on channel 5 around here :
Goosecreek. They played at a vineyard around here a few days ago. Charles Stanley. Local dude, hes like the father of bluegrass in this area or something. A lot of his stuff was on "Oh brother where art though"
The "everyone dreaming of being the 2010 Dinkmasters Champion" part is hilarious. I had a good time, even without the food. We'll have to start talking about the next one soon. Untill then, congrats burley, Master of Dinks.
I had the tail on my BBZ Shad sink into the murky depths this weekend. Is there a way a can get a new tail or will I have to make one? Or if someone has a random tail from one that was annihilated everywhere else, I'd probably trade/pay for it.
I made it out today and the river was rockin. The last I checked it was 1750 CFS and was around 1550 when I was paddling. It was a solid class III run and I had been doing IIs before it. I only wiped out once and it wasnt even in rapids. Yeah, Im hijacking your thread burley
Blah. The power was out around Abingdon from around 8:00 until 12:30. It wasnt exactly a long time but it was probably the longest Id been without powe lol. The river I kayak in was running around 350CFS two days ago so Im hoping it will be around 700-1000 CFS today. Ive never seen it over 400 but my paddling buddies want it to get gnar.
