Have been away from the fishing scene for 8 months now (too long)! Im coming back, and ready to get back to it! have spent most of my life fishing the lakes in Highlands and Polk county, FL. Just wondering if anyone is having any luck in this region? Thanks!!!

I agree crooked lake is a great lake, lots of cover, structure, deep water, shallow banks. I tend to use a Rage tail craw in a blue green color. have had a lot of success w/ that bait. rigged with a 3/8 oz. bullet weight and a 4/0 offset worm hook. sometimes i use a insertion rattle. do be careful of the stumps though, there are a few areas that you would have no idea that they are there, but ive lost a few props on that lake! sounds like a pretty poor day for crooked lake. you can usually catch a lot of dinks, and a few good ones in the middle. better luck next time!

I like all three baits. I have had my most success with the baby paca craw in a watermelon red color. I do like the rage tail craw's a lot, but they can be a bit expensive and tear easily! Tight Lines!

Hey everyone, The names Josh, I love to bass fish! I fish most lakes in the cenral florida region, Crooked lake being my favorite. But I also fish lake Walk-In-Water, Lake Josephine, Lake Kissimmee, and Lake Istokpoga alot. I own a ProCraft 201v competitor w/ 150hp Evinrude. I love to fish in tournaments.
