  1. Kozak, I own a 2000 GMC Sonoma 4x4 4.3 v-6. I tow a 18 foot fiberglass fish and ski boat and have never had any problems over the four or so years I have been towing this boat. I am from Indiana and have towed the boat to Florida, Kentucky, Tenn, etc. I always tow the boat with the trans in drive not overdrive. The mileage suffers but the transmission is happier that way. From my experience you should get along fine with your current tow vehicle. Ron
  2. Welcome, Good to see another Hoosier! I am from Albany, just northeast of Muncie. This is an awesome forum! Can't wait till the weather breaks so we can all go Bass fishing! Ron
  3. D. I am also anxiously waiting for spring to arrive. The sooner the better. I can't was to get out on the water again! Ron
  4. NJD, No, I do not have a keel guard. I have thought about getting one but the cost has kept me from doing so. Most places I fish have docks. If I was fishing places without docks regularly I would have to get one to protect the boat. Ron
  5. Here she is, 1984 Bayliner 1710 Fish & Ski, 85hp Force outboard, Two live-wells, trolling motor. May not be new but sure is fun! I've learned a lot working on this boat over the last couple of years. I have replaced the front deck since these pictures. I am currently replacing the rear casting deck trying to get ready for Spring. Ron
  6. Calcutta, It's a 1984 model.
  7. Thanks Dave, Since the picture I have replaced the front deck and made it in one piece instead of just having an extention. We also use the boat for tubing and the large front deck comes in handy for my daughter and wife to use for sun bathing. Of course I still have the rear deck to fish while thay are doing so.
  8. Hello, New member from Indiana. I just figured out how to resize photos to post to this forum so, I thought I would share a few.
  9. Hello everyone, New member here from Albany, Indiana. I am looking forward to spring, can't wait to be on the water again. I own an old Bayliner fish and ski boat, 1984 model 1710 with an 85hp Force outboard. Budget bass fishing at it's best! I have had to learn to be a Force outboard mechanic to afford to keep this outboard going. I look forward to being an active part of this Bass Fishing Forum
