  1. Lake trout. Right after ice out they're close to shore and hungry! Cutthroat trout. They prefer high mountain lakes and streams. Catfish. I'm surprised at how hard they fight!
  2. My father took me and my older brothers fishing when I was little. After he passed away when I was 12 years old, I gave up fishing until just a few years ago.
  3. Another post refereed me to this one. I fish mostly soft plastics and since all my fishing is from shore, I believe I'll be trying this method more this Spring. Looks like you guys have had a lot of success using it!
  4. I'm curious. You mentioned this earlier in your initial post... "...her assistant at work (a young guy my age) ..." Are you two roughly the same age or is there a significant difference? (Not that it should matter anyway). I think the counseling idea is something to investigate. Having a neutral person who's role is to listen, moderate and offer nonjudgmental and unbiased advice might be what the two of you need right now. Many counselors will work on a sliding scale if the cost is prohibitive. I wish you both good luck and God Bless.
  5. Yes! I do remember that incident. In fact, bars started serving a drink called the "Granby bulldozer" afterward. (Can't remember what was in it though )
  6. Hi Lauren! I'm new here, too.
  7. Do you mean literally, or just the movie? Touche! ;D
  8. I Love Jimmy Stewart! "It's a Wonderful Life" is a classic I watch every Christmas. "Mr Smith Goes to Washington" is another Frank Capra movie featuring Stewart. Has anyone seen, "Harvey?"
  9. I really enjoy bass fishing. I mostly use a plastic worm slowly along the bottom. I've also started using a plastic frog on top of weed beds. Last October I caught a 20.5 inch smallmouth using a fly and bubble! Can't wait for warmer weather!
