  1. So now that flw has banned the bama rig from their major circuit in 2014 do you think the bama rig will go away?
  2. Yea I can't wait for that!! I will probably have to burn some vacation time so I can scope out the pros while they do there thing. If you make it up here hit me up and we will get out on the water again.
  3. Thanks to a good friend in Japan and my beautiful wife I now have a new combo. Will be used for finesse application since its a ML rod , plus it can pull double duty for inshore fishing.
  4. I have 4 veritas rods. I love every single one of them. They are greats rods.
  5. Same here. I try real hard to only use ethanol free fuel at all cost but if it is not an option then I always put seafoam in the tank.
  6. I have the Daiwa ( and gladly paid the $70), for the price it has unbelievable quality. I would pick that for sure.
  7. Switched all my boxes to these and havent had any rust problems since http://zerustproducts.com/toolbox-tackle-box/
  8. Anytime they are attached to my hook. Seriously never caught a thing with em.
  9. I love a 6'9" mh/f rod for spinnerbaits. With eithe a 6:1 or 7:1 ratio reel Currently using a 6'9" veritas w/ PQ reel and 6'9" vendetta w/ PQ.
  10. Insert the wires into the nose of the bait and push the bait up. I love these heads they are the main ones I use because I do not like the screw on type

  12. I do believe my ACC girls laid a whoopin on your beloved LSU last year if my memory serves correctly. My big prediction the SEC domination comes to an end this year.
  13. Allot of people calling it rigged. Not sure I believe it was rigged but i wonder if in some way Anderson wanted out of being champion and maybe didn't give it his best effort. No disrespect to wiedman cause I believe he could probably beat Anderson Anyway.
  14. Here's the mh mod composite ethos rod http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_555203_-1
  15. Play time with your dog involves tieing on a plug and practicing your jig techniques to see if you can entice them to bite.
  16. I have that daiwa it's a fantastic rod. I am not a huge daiwa fan either but I was pleasantly surprised with that rod especially for the sale price. Not sure how it would do with smaller cranks but it handles the big boys very well. I would happily recommend the daiwa rod to anyone.
  17. And I quote
  18. I never said I knew everything about them. I base my option off of talking to the locals i have access to about what they use even specifically asking if they used American made reels. Also talking about and observing what is in the shelves at the tackle stores. If they ain't stocking it it must not be selling. Believe whatever you want though. Obviously we have 2 different opinions and experiences.
  19. I believe The only mh m crank bait ethos rod academy has is the 7'10" model. They do have the 7' m m crank bait also.
  20. I can tell you first hand they do not. Been there twice this year and visited 5 tackle shops while over there. I saw a total of 3 USDM on the shelves and they were all pflueger patriarchs. In Japan it's either Daiwa or Shimano.
  21. Haha that's laughable. I have had daiwa products that are anything but quality. Point is daiwa puts their name on crappy products too. To the OP the tournament choice rods are a basic IM6 blank with probably minimal quality control, but they are extremely affordable. Will they work for bass fishing...absolutely. They are an excellent choice if you are just getting into bass fishing or need a rod to carry in the truck.
  22. The more I think about it the more I think that bass fishing in general would benefit from one ruling body. One set of rules that all abide by when fishing in tournaments or pleasure ( even if we fudged a little) Not that there has to be one tournament trail ( let's face it that will never happen) but just one set of rules. Much like the USGA for golf. i am curious to know what y'all think would be the pluses and minuses of one ruling body.
  23. Glad you asked this question airborne. I was having he same problem but just used photobucket as a way around it. Thanks for the info Glenn cleared some pics out now I should be good to go!
  24. H2o xpress ethos rod 59.99 and h2o mettle reel 49.99 from academy and you will not be disappointed.
  25. Grab some Velcro strips with adhesive back and a pencil pouch the kid kids use in there notebooks to keep pens and pencils in. Attach the pouch via the Velcro to the inside or outside if necessary to keep in use plastics and pliers In. It may be necessary to stitch the Velcro strip to the pouch as it does not adhere to fabric well. Also grab a couple of small carabiners, small pulleys and rope. You can use this to make an anchor trolley. An anchor is a great asset while kayak fishing. You attach the carabiners to the pulleys and the attach it to the front and back carrying straps. There are plenty of videos on YouTube about anchor trolleys. It's hard to tell if the bungees are held on by screw in brackets or holes but if you can untie the bungee then you will have a way to secure a crate to the kayak via rope. This will make it much more secure than bungees alone. All this is completely removable causing no damage to the kayak other than having reinstall the bungee.
