  1. Yep probably to many to remember. The last time was a strike kings 6xd brand spanking new never been thrown and I had switched the hooks for some Grammys I had. Threw it out got it hung in a bush very first cast and lucky me left my plug knocker at home.
  2. I use the h2o Cranks allot. Especially the square bills. I love em. I have stopped buying all other brands unless the are in clearance or at a ridiculous price. The hooks are not the best i compare them to stike kings stock hooks some have straightened on me but I usually change them out after a couple of months fishing. I have found that once I switch the hooks out to some mustad kvd trebles the crankbaits are as good as any on the market. Also as I side note some top finishers at the recent bassmaster central open placed using h2o cranks
  3. I agree with goose. I have 2 of the actual pqs and then 5 other variations ( 2 carbonlites ,1 ltd, 1 tournament pq, and a rick clunn edition). The regular pqs are on my crank Bait rods and I was chunking square bills and medium divers 80-90 ft with ease. Probably could have gone more if it was needed.
  4. I only have the vendetta from the v series rods from AG but they are great rods so I imagine the the vengeance are good Rods also.
  5. Don't see why you couldn't see it. They just put up the 2012 bull shoals video. Just type in the name of the tournament you want to see in the Bassmaster search box and sit back and watch. Most of the shows are the full length vidoes too (49 min).
  6. Anybody noticed that you can watch past shows online now? maybe im late but just found it out. You can also watch the winning ways shows from the past as well as specific tournaments.
  7. Yep fantastic reel and at $50 its a no brainer. I just bought 3 last week and tried them out on Friday. Probably the best $150 i've spent in a while. If your store doesn't have any i would also suggest the H2O mettle reel for $49.99.. And you certainly can't go wrong with a H2O xpress Ethos rod for $59.99. The rod is awesome, lightweight and very sensitive.
  8. My pleasure! It's become habit since getting married to a chic fil a employee. It's the response they train you to say when a customer says thank you. I guess it just become habit from hearing it so much.
  9. Makes me glad I was never a rapala fan to begin with. I wonder how many customers they have run off with that kind of customer service?
  10. Just a heads up on an awesome deal http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_448750_-1
  11. You can buy the president combo for 79.99 at Walmart. Then you have the reel with matching rod and you have an extra reel. Other than that maybe the academy h2o xpress rod? it's a blue rod
  12. Pros-----Weight savings (slight) and a sleeker look Cons---- Can give the rod a more tip heavy feel and the butt end can get hung up in your jacket or sweater pocket
  13. i would keep my carbonlite...no wait maybe my president..........no i would probably keep my PQ........ahh heck i love em all just glad i don't have to make that choice..
  14. No not really It's still just a ludicrous as the day you Posted it. There's a huge difference in having permission from your supervisiors to slow down than slowing down because you decide on your own that you need to pad your pockets.
  15. Well I love nitro because I own one. It's a 2000 model and 17'6" so pretty comparable to what you're looking at. A couple of things I notice is that there doesn't seem to be much storage area. Also a 17' bass boat is not great for recreational use if you plan on gettin out with the family. Seating more than 3 probably ain't gonna happen and even 3 is a little close. I see there is a hydro foil on the rear and that's not a definite no no but I only have a 90 Hp and don't have a problem getting on plane so not sure why you'd need a foil for a 115. Defiantly get the motor checked out. Personally the boat is almost 20 yrs old and I think you could Probably find something newer around the same price range.
  16. I think the best advice I heard was" all spinners rotate clockwise so you want the line coming off the spool counter clockwise" by bill dance
  17. Hey guys I thought I'd give ya an update on this lure. I got out to throw it around off a dock today and let me tell ya I was impressed. I had it tied onto a tournament edition pq 6.4:1 mounted on a 7'3" mh f vendetta casting rod and spooled with #15 vicious fluorocarbon. I put on 1/16 ounce jig heads with 3.5" doa shad on it. The rod and reel setup handled it well and it casts like a dream. Felt a lot like throwing a deep diving crank bait. You can cast this thing anyway you want. No need to use a lob technique with this thing. I was actually backhand roll casting most of the time just because of the way the dock was, but you could go side arm, overhead, or however you choose. Another great thing is that you can cast it accurately. I was casting it at another dock and could easily get it within a foot of the front of the dock. It feels solid on the retrieve and have no doubt that it could handle bass. The only drawback that I could think of is that 3.5" swim baits is probably as big as you can throw on it. But I'm gonna test this theory tomorrow with some 5" swimming flukes. If you are looking for a multibait rig that wont wear you out and you don't need specialized tackle to throw then this is what you need. Well worth the $8 price tag. Hopefully tomorrow when I go out tomorrow on the boat I can get some bites and let you know how it handles the fish.
  18. Sounds exactly like the same thing I did except I chose JVD.......bad move
  19. Entry level---PQ because it can be had for $79 Middle of the road---- PQ cause it comes in so many gear ratios High end----PQ cause if Edwin Evers can win tournaments and over a million in earnings with it then it's good enough for me.
  20. Worth it for $3.88 a 125 yd spool?
  21. Maybe a cabelas prodigy then? I have 0 experience but some members here say they are quality reels. Maybe they could chime in.
  22. Bout the best I can do for ya. Sorry don't fish Santee much. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/bfl-santee-cooper-41612.html
  23. I got it at Walmart for like $8. It came with some panfish jig heads and grubs but the wires seem to be same size in diameter as the regular one and probably about 3" long. Here's some pics Next to a regular one. I plan on throwing it Saturday on a medium heavy rod.
