  1. I second the Inky approach to fishing Santee.
  2. No I am not working, (fishing), today. Believe it or not, I did have a request to go. Merry Christmas to all!
  3. The sooner one learns that bass live by no rule, the sooner ones catch to cast ratio will increase.
  4. Right back at you. Have a great holiday season.
  5. That area is way to far north for me. Unfortunately I don't know anyone to recommend in that area. I am in the area of lakes such as Stick Marsh/Farm 13, Blue Cypress, and Ansin/Garcia.
  6. She sure had some poor guidance on this one.
  7. Look on his web page for references to include those references e-mail addresses. Also, look for posted rates. If nothing there look somewhere else for a guide.
  8. Remove tea staining cheaply: Use SnoBowl - can be gotten at any grocery store
  9. If I read this correctly, it seems what everyone is saying, is the spawn periods are different by location, and if you want to be real successful, then you best know your location real well. I find the easiest way to sort our which period they are in is to sample the areas. For example, I know that in sunny south Florida, the prespawn period will have the bass moving from their summer regions to the outside areas of spawning locations. It doesn't take a thousand casts to figure if that is happening. At the same time I will test spawn areas to see if there is male activity of nest construction. Again, not a lot of casts to sort this out either. The key is to know your lake, do some testing of the known areas, and you will find this whole process not difficult to keep up with. On a lake that is unfamiliar local advise is worth 2000 casts. For example, on the Marsh/Farm we have many areas that look ideal for spawn activity, but only a few that really do. Without the knowledge of where, you could spend days locating these areas, and when you do it may be too late. Don't be too proud to ask.
  10. For the most part you were not expanding on what Paul said, but rather disagreeing. That's fine. My question was meant to give you the opportunity to let these people know from where you were coming. We know that Paul is considered the Master of the crank bait in the fishing industry, and amongst his peers. I thought it would be good for you to add to your comments some background to your stated views. Sorry you took that negatively. I particularly liked: "Paul Elias: "I do a fishing school called In-depth Fishing." Chris: I give the information freely" Was this expanding on Paul's statements?
  11. I know who Paul Elias is; who's Chris? http://proxy.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/media/angler?anglerId=14713
  12. As of yesterday they are just starting to show in the south end. The artificial bite has been tough if you are not with them every day. However, the shiner bite is hot: last trip out went through 10 dozen in 6 hours with 4 guys.
  13. Fantastic top water jerk bait - a killer Carolina rigged - last fish caught weighed in at 8.5 pounds. Many big fish caught on this bait:
  14. Taylor Creek Reservoir is due west of Lake Poinsett, in Osceola county. It is part of the St. Johns River.
  15. 50 yds of finely woven horse hair, a hooked carved from deer bone, a 5' stick from the nearest birch tree, and 2" bits of a coon's innards, the older the better. Latest Techno achievements.
  16. The capitol of Texas is "Timbuktu", but I don't believe California has a capitol. ;D Roger I thought their capitol was sold while in foreclosure. Not sold: just moved. Area 51, a clandestine facility located 100 miles outside of Las Vegas in Nevada's high desert, was where the Arnold put Ca's new capitol.
  17. The capitol of Texas is "Timbuktu", but I don't believe California has a capitol. ;D Roger The last person leaving Ca. was heard to say: "I'll be back", or was that the first. I think he also said something about needing some capital for the capitol.
  18. Beautiful map of West Lake.
  19. Is Kenya the capitol of Texas/California?Being of simple mind I just aint' sure.
  20. Depending on the wind - either stern cleat, or mid-point for side drift.
  21. We live with socks in the south. Yes, they can be used along a shore. If you set the big motor properly you can almost get away without touching the trolling motor for other than fine tuning.
  22. http://www.campmack.com/ From there you have access to: Kissimmee, Hatchineha, Cypress, Toho, and the Kissimmee river.
  23. Here's a fish camp: RICHARDSON'S FISH CAMP 1550 Scottys Rd [Map] Kissimmee, FL 34744 Phone 1: 407-846-6540
  24. There are hundreds of storage areas around Disney. For that matter, they may have something.
