6 volt batteries have a larger capacity than the 12. In theory the configuration they gave you provides the same amp hour usage as the 2 12 volt in parallel. In either configuration you have a problem if there is a battery failure. When batteries are parallel a failing battery will drain the good one. In series this is not the case, however being left with one good 6 volt is no good either. Two suggestions: First and most importantly find the drain before something burns up. Second, separate your trolling system from your starting system.

In brief, the fishing was good. My son Scott, Don(WWF), and myself went searching the south end of Farm 13 and had a pretty good morning. Nothing really big came out of the foray, but we did have a good time. Really can't say too much - rattle traps produced 25 bass and we quit at 11:45. Chrome/Blue-orange belly. The weather started wet and soupy but ended up really nice. Here's hoping the next few days hold good. It's going to cool a bit, but no hard wind forecasted.

"To introduce and create new relationships in the bass fishing industry" That is the crux to obtaining sponsorship, and the way that occurs is by becoming known in the industry. Let me assure you that the industry neighborhood is small. There are no shortcuts. It takes but a short time for one to become known, whether good or bad. To garner sponsorship you need to place yourself in position to become known. Of course first you have to decide for yourself what you consider sponsorship is.

What battery is anyone aware of that will not handle vibration. Unless you are connecting it to your recliner in your living room it is going to be subject to all kinds of vibration, no matter who makes it or what kind it is. To my knowledge, the only use of automotive/marine batteries in in boats, and automotive type vehicles, and both vibrate like crazy.

The first thing you need to do is stop the progression of the wood rot. You can achieve this by thoroughly treating the area with Boric acid. Depending on the amount of wood rot you may actually have to replace the wood in the area. Just gluing a piece of wood on top of the rotted wood will not solve your problem. Wood rot is an active fungus! It will stay active in a boat once started as it only requires a small amount of moisture. Boric acid kills the fungus.

River Ranch sits off a lateral canal that comes in off the Kissimmee River just south of route 60. You are under an hour from: Lake Kissimmee, Lake Hatcheneha, Lake Walk-In-Water, Blue Cypress Lake, Lake Toho, Cypress Lake, Lake Marion, Ansin/Garcia, Stick Marsh/Farm 13, Crooked Lake, and a few others. Not far from you is Camp Mack, and Cap't Dick Lawson is one of several guides from there that fish most of these lakes. PS: I caught one from the lateral canal that went 9.75 pounds on a white spiner bait. I caught several nice fish in the marina area and canal in River Ranch.

December closeout was a bit slow for us this year which was to be expected with current gas prices, Christmas, and family gatherings. The fishing during the last couple of weeks has been fair with fish being found in the south end of the Farm, in the Back Lot, and in the NW area of the Stick Marsh. Our two top producing baits were the Senko and the rattle trap. Working the trap in the south end of the Farm and the NW are of the Marsh was the ticket, and the Senko was the producer in the Back Lot. Senkos as long as they are dark, and traps in chrome/blue/orange belly are color choices. On the last trip a Pop-R accounted for several fish throughout the morning. The first days of January have been very windy and very cold. A scheduled outing for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, have been postponed until a later time as temps sank into the 30's and winds blew 25-35 with occasional gale force gusts. However the cold temps are just what the doctor ordered to move fish southward towards spawning grounds. See you out there. Give a shout if you get the chance.
