  1. Sorry just came across your question. I use the pit boss for both, it is an awesome pitchin' bait or just dragging it on the bottom like a craw dad. Something I came across this last year was I started catching some fish on it when reeling it back in. It has some awesome action to it when swimming. The end of the tail seems to split open after a few fish and it makes it hard to keep on the hook. So I will bite off the bad section and rehook it and it's ready for action. Hope this helps. Oh by the way any color is good as long as it is GREEN PUMPKIN!!
  2. I own 10 revos and like them a lot,but I bought a Lew's last year and really like how it palms. I will be buying another Lew's this spring.
  3. Yeah I feel the same about DSG. Many times I went to buy stuff that was on sale only to find out at the register it was no longer on sale, although the sale sign was still on the shelf. Their reel selection is a joke too.
  4. I will take a Norman Deep Baby N over a bandit all day long. The fire tiger without the glitter is my go to bait. I can't remember how many big bass I have put in the boat with that bait. With that being said PRADO just purchased Norman lures so we will have to wait and see if they ruin this lure or leave it as is. I went to the boat when I heard this news and counted 54 DBN's,I should be OK for a while.
  5. There is an Academy in Terre Haute, In. Went down there the weekend of its grand opening, was rather disappointed in the fishing section. I guess I was expecting more than what they had. And on top of that what they have done to the All Star rod is sickening. I still have 4 of the original All Stars that were made in Houston.
  6. I have two Revo S reels and they are work horses. I would not get all worked up over the lack of mag brakes on this reel. Like previous posters said you lock in one or two brakes on the inside and close it up. You can then fine tune with spool tension know as needed. I used mine for square bills so there was not a need to mess with the settings. Put some line on it and throw it around a while,I think you will like it.
  7. I catch a ton of bass texas rigging the pit boss. The only color I use is green pumpkin.
  8. Just picked up 4 splash it's at a flea market for 2 bucks a piece.
  9. When putting line on I spray it about every 20 revolutions of the handle. And I spray it real good when the spool is full. Then when I get home from the lake I will make a long cast in the yard and spray it down good while reeling it in,then spray the top down again. Don't be afraid to use it,it is great stuff I have 2 or 3 bottles around at all times.
  10. 12 lb Suffix siege has been working great for me on buzz baits and spooks.
  11. I picked up a Powell Max 734 this spring and this is one bad azz rod. It fishes so many baits very good. I want to get another one but I am kinda waiting around to see what the new ones are gonna be like.
  12. I have been doing really good using the pit boss in green pumpkin. Anybody else using them?
  13. Yeah I read several articles from the web and none of them state what bait he was actually throwing. Found that odd. It must be a bait from a company that does not sponsor him.
  14. As the title states, does anyone know what crankbait he was using?
  15. The Croix deal was last year about this time.
