  1. Caught some nice bass on the 4" Hologram shad color. I think this pattern is often over looked when selecting roboworms.
  2. Both.
  3. Wishing all the best for Aron and his family. Praying hard for Aron.
  4. Before I sold all my fishing gear some years ago, the Calcutta reels were my goto for swimbaiting, loved them. Now that I'm retired and don't have the income I use to have, just can't afford them. Ahh, the good old days..?
  5. Also the same year round. Color, pattern, and blades depend on where I'm fishing.
  6. Like everything else here in so. cali everything is way over priced. I.e. diesel is now $ 4.50 per gal., and the list goes on.
  7. $ 3500.00 would be considered cheap here in so. cali.
  8. Dang Jeff, I had to give you a like, for all that typing you did..lol Not to mention some good advice. Well done.
  9. Agreed. My Son who is 47, and works for a well known freight company, and basically does logistics, he did work for me for a few months years ago. So he remodeled his home last year, with a bit of advice from the old man. He installed all new flooring, base, case and crown molding. Helped him install 2 vinyl 8' sliders. All said and done, he did a fairly nice job, interior looks much larger, brighter, and added a sense of a higher priced home. Pretty proud of what he did.
  10. ^^^^ This. Also ask them if they are able to relocate the snapping turtles, vs.. something else.
  11. In gin clear water, if I'm flippin, punching or fishing top water, i.e. frogs, buzzbaits, ect. then I use braid. Everything else is usually mono, but sometimes fluro. Stained water, not muddy, same thing. Try fishing bottom contact baits in clear water with braid, regardless line size vs mono or fluro, see how many fish you get with braid.
  12. I have at least 3 framing squares. One of them dates back to 1936. Can't tell you how many times I've had to recut stairs cuz fools just didn't get it. A complete home can be built using a framing square, I used 12 and 6" speed squares for smaller stuff. BTW Mobasser, this turned out to be a pretty cool thread.
  13. No wandering. My mind is on the task at hand, which is Driving Safely. When I get to the lake, then I'm thinking fishing.
  14. Right handed, usually I lip a bass with my right hand, although sometimes I have to use my left hand, either way is comfy for me.
  15. A good option and well under the Loomis price point, but fishes well above it's price point is the Irod Fred's Magic Stick. Like all Irod's they get great reviews, priced at $ 150.00. Oh and customer service is next to none, Matt is very customer oriented.
  16. I can agree that today, there's some very shoddy work done. When I was working, when all the framing was completed, I printed and signed my name on a stud with a permanent marker. As for inspectors, when I was working for a contractor, before starting my own biz, he had a roofing inspector come by to look at a rather large and expensive home we were building. My boss went to the liquor store, bought a case of beer, and the 2 of them sat down at 10 am drank a few beers and without even looking at the roof, he signed it off, sorry state of affairs.. To all you carpenters/contractors...Cheers.
  17. By boat, usually about 8 hrs. depending on the bite. Bank fishing time has gone down some over the years. My bad back just can't take walking 3 or 4 miles with my gear any longer, even if the bite is good. So I'm normally out for about 3 to 4 hours.
  18. WTG, r. AOY..and a hearty Congratz.
  19. Congratz..Like the shoes too...?
  20. This is when barbless hooks come into play.
  21. I have the 100, 150, 200 and 300 size reels, and I do the same with all of them.
  22. Just saw some video of Ida, doesn't look good. Hunker down, praying all you folks will be safe and not incur to much damage.
  23. I have the 6" surgical forcipes, my wife use to work at a hospital. I'm sure you can find them online.
  24. I use quality forcipes, never had a issue, If you rotate the hook vs trying to pull it out.
