  1. 95* here in sunny so.Cali yesterday and today. It's dang Hot !!!
  2. 3 on, no spool tension. Thumb controls everything.
  3. For 8" Hudds, 20 lb mono, for 6" Huds, ect, 17 lb mono. Learned long ago that using braid to leader just presented more problems than it solved, and some spendy baits that I lost. After going all mono, haven't lost a swimbait yet.
  4. Used my freshwater rods and reels in the salt 3 to 4 times per week. Just rinse em off with fresh water from the garden hose, read gentle stream. Never had any issues.
  5. Any of the Rage craws work really well. If I need a slimmer profile I'll use a sweet beaver.
  6. Thanks for the info. Saves me a trip out there.
  7. Same for me. No issues at all.
  8. How has Legg lake changed ?
  9. Ahh, the good life..?
  10. Have you checked the Flea Market forum here. ? I saw some real nice reels for some very good prices earlier today.
  11. Been there, done that..
  12. The only brand that you listed that I have are the Irod gen III rods, I have a few ranging from 8' swimbait rods to a 6'9" rod for lighter lures. Love em. good fit and finish, action is very good on them, customer service from Matt is second to none. I also have a few Diawa Tatula's, but if I need more rod's I'll stick with Irod. BTW, if you haven't already check TW reviews on them.
  13. Just for giggles, I spooled up 30# Diawa Samurai braid on a Shimano 301 E7, never had any issues with digging or backlashes.
  14. The thought of being a pro bass fisherman never entered my mind, made a decent living at building houses, which I loved to do.
  15. Good Luck DB, hope ya stick some nice ones.
  16. Regardless of all of Tom's post's, I for one would love to see Glenn interview Tom. I bought some of Tom's tackle awhile back, and just listening to the few minutes of him talking fishing was an experience, so yup, let it begin.
  17. I bought a bunch of Sufix Elite and am very happy with it. Pretty soft, no coils, and knot strength is pretty good. Can't speak to the abrasion resistance, haven't had in any major cover.
  18. If your going to buy the fin's online. I suggest you go to a dive shop, or sporting goods that carries dive fins and ask what size will fit. I had waders with stocking feet, and my fins were size large and I wear a size 11 shoe, all fins are not the same but if you get a pair with adjustable straps the fit will be good.
  19. I used scuba dive fins. They take a bit of effort to get started, but then once you get going, your able to go faster vs using non scuba fins. Might check with a dive shop or maybe Dicks sporting goods.
  20. Me and my Son, who weighs about 270 lbs both used Fat Cats. Great quality, and awesome customer service. IMHO, the best float tubes out there. Have fun with it. Oh, get some good fins, they make a difference. Just saw Tom's post. Yes you can use the float tube at the lagoon, they require certain things, so call or check their site.
  21. Ditto.
  22. Sorry, Not Legg Lake. The 2 I refer to are 1 is in the Torrance area, the other is in Long Beach, which is a pay to enter park.
  23. Ole Tank has some hopps for sure... ?
