  3. A very Merry Christmas to all of you folks.
  4. I don't. That's why I now buy Diawa spinning reels.
  5. 54 years last June. Happy anniversary, and many more to come. 😎
  6. Am I a Hammer ? Well, sort of.. 😉
  7. After looking at the different brands, I took a look at the Irod swimbait rods. And after reading all the positive reviews, I bought one, after using it a few times, I bought 2 more of their swimbait rods, and yet another for a different use. Customer service is next to none. I do like the EVA grips also. So, I'm pretty much sold on them for the value they have.
  8. Thanks for the update on Lynn. As always hoping and praying for the best.
  9. A very Happy Thanksgiving to all of the BR folks.

  13. As always, you and Lynn are in our prayers, praying for the best for both of you.
  14. 99 % of the time, I'll choose the rod.
  15. What.... no Hudds ?????????????
  16. Great looking pup. Congrats on getting her.
  17. I think that if you have to remain seated, and you are on the smaller side. A shorter rod would be easier to cast. When I was Float Tubing, I could easily throw a 2 3/4 to 4 oz+ oz swimbait on my 8' Dobyns swimbait rod. In a float tube your more confined than you would be on a yak. I'm 6'1" so that may have been an advantage.
  18. Finally got entered today..
  19. Tried 4 more times, still no go.
  20. For some reason, I failed the captcha test, why I don't know..??????????
  21. 98% of my hudds are rainbow trout. My preferred rod is the Irod swimbait jr. All of my swimbaits are 16 ROF.
  22. Yup. I had a good 6+ lb bass jump almost 2 feet out of water trying to grab my spinnbait once. Didn't hook her but was exciting to watch.
  23. I'm a righty, and use left handed reels. My reason for doing so, is that I want my Dominate hand to be working the rod, which is more important that cranking with it. Also it eliminates having to switch hands. I've had bass hit my lure even before it hits the water, and the time it takes to change hands may cause a lost bite.
  24. 6 or 8 lb mono, is what gets used on my 2500 size reels. I tried fluro a few times, but I keep going back to mono as found that fluro really didn't catch more or bigger fish.
