  1. Try the Gulp Alive in Shrimp flavor. On sale at my walmart for $4.50.
  2. I check mines more than once on each trip. However, I think the locking mechanism that holds onto the ball is a bit too loose for my liking. Anybody have ideas how to tighten it up? NJD
  3. Thanks, I'll keep this in mind. I wouldn't mind going to Escambia, but its further from where I live. How's Bass fishing in the Escambia River? I've heard different things and places to fish in Escambia, but where do you fish for them? NJD
  4. Wayne P, Can I get the instructions as well? I have a Stratos 268V... NJD ;D
  5. Clean boat. Do you have a Keel Guard? Just wondering. I'm thinking of going fishing in a place that doesn't have a dock, so I'll have to roll-up on shore and I don't have a Keel Guard... NJD
  6. Anybody fish the Blackwater River in Florida? If so, can you give me any tips and tactics to fish this tidal water brackish river? NJD :-?
  7. I went to BPS in Destin Florida this weekend and met Rick Clunn. He gave a brief seminar on Bass fishing and gave some great tips. Here are a few that stuck out in my mind: - He fishes the same rod for every application. For example, he says he doesn't use a different rod of cranking, swim bait, jigs, top water, and spinner bait. He says as long as it is seven foot, that's all that matters. - He uses mono line for almost 90% of all of his reels. This fits right up my alley. I want to use different rods for different applications, but I can't afford to do so. Also, I love mono line, its more manageable for me. I tried braided and Flouro but they don't work as well for me. I'll stick to mono. Thought I'd share this with you all to get your opinions on this... NJD
  8. I think I'll find the creeks to the river and try there. Thanks guys... NJD
  9. Good deal. I will keep your suggestions in mind. My thing is that I thought the Bass would look for the freshest water within the brackish water to spawn. I don't know. Its getting that time in Florida and I want to get ready... NJD
  10. Hello Everyone, I've been looking at this forum for a while and decided to join and make some posts. I am from Navarre Florida and I am in the USAF. I love Bass fishing and that is just about all I am into. I have Stratos Bass boat and don't get to fish as much as I like because I am new to the area and still reconning places to fish. I've been Bass fishing all of my life and have been out of the sport for the past 4-years because of my assignment in Germany. Looking to get really busy into it. If any of you guys are from my area, let me know where to go... NJD
  11. I'm starting to fish in brackish river waters and wanted to know if there are differences with Bass spawning in brackish water than spawning in fresh water? I know a Bass is a Bass but the brackish water thing has me guessing. I need help... NJD :-?
