  1. I went out this AM and threw the Laser Lure and I was extremely disappointed with how "dim" the blinking light is. You can't even tell it's blinking unless your looking directly over it while it's floating on the surface. It really does look like a regular L.E.D. light to me. However, it does have a nice wobble to it. I didn't catch any fish on it but I will give it another try in low light conditions.
  2. Looking for info on the Lower Potomac. SM or LM that are 15" or bigger. LOL. Thanks
  3. I bought the Yellow Ghost Shallow diver Laser Lure at the Classic a few weeks ago for 15.00. I haven't gotten a chance to throw it yet but I am heading out all week and that will be the first bait I throw. I will let you know my results on Monday afternoon. We'll see if it's a gimic or not!
  4. Has anyone fished the Potomac River lately? Trying to find out where to go and what to use. Thanks.
  5. I picked up one of the Ardent F500 a few weeks back....$149.99. It's designed for flipping. I love it!!!!
  6. You can hit up Gilbert Run off of Rt.6 in Mechanicsville or go down to Callaway to St. Mary's lake off of Rt. 5 They are the only places open to public other than the Potomac River. Good luck
  7. Wait another week or two and you will be able to get the "new" Chigger Craw Crazy legs. The are introducing it to the public at the Classic next weekend.
  8. Has anyone been out on the Potomac yet this year? Wondering how the fishing has been up around the Spoils & Blue Plains?
  9. Tin.....Was it RED in color? The C400 ring a bell? If so, they had some problems with them so they re-did them. If you get a C400, make sure it's the grey one and not red (burgandy). The XS1000 and XS600 are great reels. The only thing I dislike about them is they sit to high on the rod. They could make it a little more LOW PROFILE. Just my thoughts.
  10. I put the reel on the scale and it was bouncing back in forth from 9.8 - 10 ounces. The reel was spooled with 50# Sonic Braid.
  11. I don't know the exact weight but actually it's heavier than i expected it to be. When I get home, I'll see if it has the weight printed anywhere on the box. Or I'll just go put it on the scale.
  12. Just got mine today. Spooled it up with 50# Sonic Braid and was pitching around the house....WOW...super smooth. Can't wait for the weekend to come.
  13. I agree...Sebile Magic Swimmer is the way to go. Another good one is the Strike King King Shad or Wake Shad. Other than those, some of the California companies have some good ones but very expensive.
