I have and use older Rebel pop r's and have done well.
If it caught fish 20 years ago it will catch fish today.
For the poster that miss the Rebel deep wee r, ebay is your ticket.
I collect discontinued Rebels. I usually use Dawn soap, a toothbrush, hot water and lots of elbow grease. After I've gotten the bait as clean as possible, I use McGuire's cleaner and polish.
This method has served me well.
