    Nice work Rooster! I'm assuming you purchased the wood from Lowe's or HD . If so you might want to see If there are any local furniture manufactures in your area that discard scraps and see If they are usable. I'm curious to know Is your lightly sanded (x-fine steelwool) in between the varathane coats?

    There used to be several "old timey" bait shops around but sadly there's one left and the guy that runs and owns the place Is garbage so for me It's a few of the board sponsors, BPS, and TW. I really miss going to the one that closed 2 months ago as there were great folks, great stories, and while they were a bit higher I never had a problem because keeping money in the local economy was and still is Important to me.
