My brother and myself went out to a sizable new pond this past Saturday and had a pretty fair day. We fished for three hours and boated 21 inbetween 1-3 lbs. The majority came on Zoom magnum trick works and Berkley power worms both in black. We caught them super shallow, some Inbetween, and a few deep, although deep Is a relative term here in the South as the deep fish came from 10 ft.
They were fairly active and quite feisty. There Is some beautiful standing timber In several spots in deep(ish) water but we didn't do well there and I attribute this to not having enough time to thoroughly fish any one spot. I'm fairly positive there are big fish In this place and the next time we get down there we are going to spend the day, figure out a few more things, and take some time to fish some stuff we barely touched!
