any tips for Hiwassee

if the sun is out like a blue bird sky try a natural color jerk bait on main lake points when you find suspended fish

was wondering if there is anyone on here that has fished any of the nc mountain lakes like fontana and such the TVA lakes

it rained all day today....fished from 6:30 to 3:15 in our third tourney of the year caught 3 fish before 8:00 am on a spot remover and a deadringer. then the fish shut off like a switch managed to catch one more under buster boyds while getting out of the rain for a min lol....but all in all it was the worst tourney of the year for me..... 4 fish.......7.08 lbs

its not til sat the 28th im leaving to go prefish tomorrow...looks like this trip will be the third straight tourney in the rain for me.....ill let everyone know.....if you can come up with any more advice please let me know..... thanks

fished there this past sat had 10 pounds .....swim bait swim bait swim bait throw til your arm hurts and then throw 100 more times..... vary your retrieve between steady and burning it....larger fish came off burning it to the boat..... sorry not much help. i was up toward the clemson, martins creek area caught all of them of the rip rap near cherry point bridge.

dont get too excited it is a very good way to catch a limit really quick if you can get on the fish with your graph but there has been days when i have never been so bored in my life and was lucky to get a limit after drop shoting for nine hours....

its out of buster boyds, i have heard from a buddy that lives down close to there that the water temp is up too around 58 now but i dont know for sure

what did it take to win the FOM tournament i was there and seen them putting in there was like 60 of them. just wondering what it took to win let me know if you hear anything. thanks

hey everyone i have a club tournament on greenwood in a couple weeks and i have never even seen the lake any help would be amazing....

fished my first club tournament this weekend it took 10 lbs to win the crystal lake area is the best area so far i had two fish for 4.08 lbs i caught one on a worm on a 1/4 oz jig head and one on a 3/4 oz white spinnerbait it went 3.5 lbs it was cold and rained all day everyone that i talked too was catching their fish with crankbaits on flats in 5-8 foot of water. best of luck

no he got food poisioning.... i think it might have been a few beers too many lol jk either way it sucked for me i had him on my fantasy team along with ike, aaron martens, my boy casey ashley, and bobby lane all of which made the cut so he killed me lol

the two best days of a boat owner.....the day you buy it.....and the day you sell it! lol jk thats a nice looking boat son you got to start somewhere and besides the fish dont know what kind of boat your in. by the way hook your graph to the starting battery it wont drain it as much as you think with it hooked to the TM battery everytime you hit the button to make the TM run it will interfere with the reading to graph is picking up

what i have always heard is use a tight wobble bait in colder water....below 60 degrees like a shad rap or a norman n series. and in waters warmer than 60 degrees to throw a wider wobble bait like a fat free shad or a manns plus series. crankbaits are a reaction bait anyways hardly ever will you catch a fish with them if your not banging them of the bottom or some kind of structure.....just my two cents take it however you want....

i would agree lake murray sc or clarks hill sc/ga it that is the best lakes close to where you will be....on murray put in at dreher island and go up the lake not down towards the dam if the wind picks up you might have a little fun in the jon boat. the upper end of the lake is awesome though the spots are just now starting to move up into the shallower water. its nothing to catch a 20 lbs sack in a tourny there. have fun and tear em up

i had one cavitron it was white and red throw it two times, cut it off and throw in the lake it never would plane. i must have got a lemon out of the bunch cause it was junk anyone else had this problem?

i love it down there its the best lake around my area
