  1. Agreed. Triple clap pushups, I'm happy with one clap haha! Backflip burpees? Holy schnikes! Very nice video.
  2. Ya, I got several baits that are beat up by the local pike population and still work as well as they did when they were new. Color matters to some extent but like others have said, they mostly catch fisherman.
  3. I fish from the bank so I get a lot of passerbys and walk by many people as well. I don't mind being asked, but I don't usually ask other people. I ask if they are catching any and that's about it. I find it annoying when people ask a lot of questions though. Like every minute detail of how I'm fishing a lure.
  4. Once, i was reeling in a spinnerbait up quickly to make another cast, had a bass hit and gave it a yank. Didn't get a good hook set and the lure came flying at me. Put my arm in front of my face and the trailer hook stuck into my elbow. Luckily the barb wasn't it! Never had a barb in me though, knock on wood...
  5. Hello everybody. My name is Scorcher214....And I've been a Rage-Aholic for almost two years now.
  6. I need save up to buy a boat anyways...and actually fish St. Clair. My kayak only gets me so far!
  7. Good color for just about any time is white. Personally, my white spinnerbaits need a few red strands in it so I'll make my own skirts with white and a few red strands. But that's my preference. 3/8oz is a good weight for most spinnerbait applications. Strike king is a nice brand and haven't had any problems with their spinnerbaits. If you don't mind spending some extra dollars I suggest trying a Ko-Man-Chi spinnerbait. Also, if you are fishing clear water with a healthy population of bluegills a bluegill pattern is killer. As for blade color, silver for clear water, gold for muddy or stained water. Glenn's video on spinnerbaits is also very nice. Fish on!
  8. I swear i have seen that fish swimming around! Was fishing behind some canals at the end of my street and my mom had stopped by to see how I was doing. As she looked down she yelled over to me saying she saw a big gold fish! I said no way but went over to check it out, and yep....massive goldfish just swimming about. Wouldn't hit anything though.
  9. Try this, get low like you're a running back getting ready to break through a tackle, head down. Now, lift your head up so you are looking forward. Is that how running back will have to go about trying to break through tackles? To me, that feels like an even worse position. If the defender were to hit your head with his shoulder pad or helmet....you're gonna have a bad time.
  10. I can only think of one time I have ever called in "sick" to fish. That was with a previous job though. The one I have now, would be REALLY bad if I called in the day I was working. Luckily, the earliest I go into work is 4pm so I can get out on the water early and be off and at work in time.
  11. That's a sharp looking rifle Robert!
  12. http://www.*/define.php?term=yolo
  13. It's an hour away. Gander MT....bout a half hour, Dicks is seriously no more than 10 minutes from me. I do most of my shopping online but it would be nice to be able to go into a store and hold a reel or rod before i buy it.
  14. When you actually have the money haha. And I don't say YOLO
  15. Actually I don't think Im going to be attending this year. Given it some more thought and it's not "financially wise" for me to do so right now =/
  16. Would love to get one by me. Lol, the DSG by me doesn't carry enough fishing tackle. I'd like having a outdoor specialty store near me.
  17. Can't remember when exactly but it was a couple of years ago. Some kids were fishing in St. Clair, and saw something weird sticking out of the sand underneath the water. Turned out to be a old torpedo from cold war era. Don't know many details about it. Couldn't find anything on the internet either.
  18. Ehhhh Im fine with white
  19. Is anybody camping in the park? Thinking about buying this tent off craigslist for 20 bucks and just camping perhaps. Also, anybody that still is looking for roommate, HIT ME UP. I'll sleep on the floor...and I don't snore at all!
  20. Ya, I seriously cannot wait. This whole winter has been driving me nuts. Watching fishing shows and reorganizing my tackle is just making it worse!
  21. I know I'm kinda late to be getting in on it but, I finally think I'll be able to go. Im printing out the registration form right now and will be mailing it tomorrow. Anyways, who still needs a roomate? Anybody wanna pick up a 3rd man to lower cost?
  22. Ya, read about this in my BASS issue I got today. Dumb dumb dumb. Us fisherman are more protective of our waters, than probably anybody making these laws. If the few plastics that get broken off in the water were causing a catastrophe and killing off ridiculous amounts of fish to where i might not be able to catch a bass because the plastics killed them all...sure I'd stop. But how long have soft plastics been used in fishing? Long enough to see if they were detrimental to fishing. And are they? I wouldn't say so.
  23. I'll be looking for a cabin roomate for sure but it's still sketchy as to if I can make it.
