  1. Is there a better lure than a rage craw/weighted hook?
  2. I suggest dropping a couple bucks on a tube of shoo goo. My snowboarding boots sole completely came off and there was a hole in the boot from the way I hold my board on the chair lift. The hole is sealed and the sole is reattached and ain't going anywhere any time soon. It's pretty dang strong. I highly suggest trying it on your Carolinas to see if it will work. Try it on your Chinese boots as well.
  3. Thanks Shank! Just hadn't seen anything on the "why" yet.
  4. How did it become that these two were suspects? As much as I am for finding the guys who did this....I haven't read anything saying why they have become suspects, and everybody and their mother just like......"KILLLL THE TERRORISTS." Has anybody found anything on why?

  6. Ill be puttin my kayak in at metro beach on 16 mile first thing in the morning Did some panfishing for crappie/bluegills today there from the shore and ended up accidentally catching more bass than anything. Tomorrow's high is 70degrees, diping back downto the high 40s over the weekend, and back up into the mid-high 50s next week. I cannot to get out in my kayak!
  7. Strike King! Nobody ever has enough Rage Tail products.
  8. Just got home from work and saw the video of the explosions. Holy crap that was terrifying to watch. Those poor people, one bomb, then another, in that moment, what even goes through your mind? Is another bomb gonna go off? Are we under attack? With all the crap with NK going on....geez oh petes
  9. I have always used the super fluke (T-rigged and weightless, sometimes a weighted swimbait hook) and never tried any other companies soft jerkbait. I've looked on TW at others though. Havoc has a coupl ein their line, Ike's subwoofer looks like it would be nice when more of a vibration is needed. Also plan on trying the Slug-o as that seems like a popular old favorite. Any out there that are better in your opinion or offer a different action?
  10. I feel like a senko is lazier than live bait lol.
  11. Fishing isn't my hobby anymore it's now become my passion. I snowboard as well but here in Michigan...if you can snowboard you can't fish. The only problem I foresee this season is my weightlifting. I do 5 days a week for about 1-1.5 hours each day. I haven't missed a day yet and I don't plan on doing so. Even if the weather is perfect, I'll have to get my workout in first. Actually I do remember kind of missing a workout. Usually i get it in around noon but woke up late and had to go to work. Felt like garbage all day at work and when I got home worked out. I'm addicted to it almost like fishing now.
  12. dont have the outdoor channel, just nbcsp, so no hook n look. one of my favorites though.
  13. To be honest, some days I rather just sit and watch a bobber.
  14. I would love to have a tank with a few bass in it. So do you plan on releasing them at all if they get too big?
  15. 4/0 EWG or offset round bend hook. I think the offset round bend hooks offer a better hook up.
  16. Ya, he's gonna have to get some new gear. Help him out though. I'd talk to his mom and suggest buying him a new nuttin fancy rod/reel combo. Maybe go with him and his mom to the store to help pick it out. Along with a small simple assortment of lures. A white spinnerbait, some power worms, hooks and sinkers, and a pack of senkos. Line as well. Highly recommend Berkley XL casting. I've taken noobs fishing before too, and TBH watching your buddy catch a fish thanks to you and seeing his excitement feels better than catching a fish yourself. He obviously thinks fishing is fun, wait till he does some catching!
  17. Nah, doesn't look like it. would buy them if they did though. Would like to see an OTG model, as the technology behind the S11s seems pretty neat. I too have a pair of cocoons (XL aviators) but they were ridiculously annoying. They also looked ridiculous Always were falling off when I looked down a bit. Ended up purchasing a $20 pair of OTGs at Gander mtn. They fit like a glove but have not tried them for fishing.
  18. I go more by water clarity than weather. Silver in clear, gold in stained muddy water. I would go with #1 As for the midnight special think, darker colors are supposed to standout better against the dark night sky. I dunno, I've never caught anything with a spinnerbait at night using my booyah moontalker, and I have for sure given it a fair shake.
  19. This is my crutch lol.
  20. That technique is so deadly, you won't even catch any bass under 25lbs
  21. Strike King Mine Strike King RageTail
  22. Alright, I'll give this a whirl. Michigan's LMB record is only 11-15 small mouth is 9-4. Gotta be a 9lb smallie in St.Clair somewhere...
  23. Bill Dance is probably my favorite fishing show. I like his personality and seems like a really cool dude to fish with. I watch it almost everyday!
  24. So the weather starting to gt a wee bit nicer. Thursday's gonna be a high of 56. I fish a pond that has a healthy population of bluegills and bass. Also a gravel pit that has bass, bluegills, crappie, and i think there may be a few pike. I bought a couple road runners and a beetlespin to try out for some bluegills and crappie till bass season hits. At what point will they be active enough for it to be worth fishing? The pond, i was told is about 15 feet at it's deepest point but is pretty much 1-4 feet around where i can get to fish. The gravel pit has to be at least 30ft deep, and around the shore where I can cast to, gets to probably 15ft. Any advice on fishing for bluegills is appreciated.
  25. HOLY SMOKES!
