  1. I say have your kid mess around with some stuff. Maybe he will invent some new awesome rig? Ain't that the way the wacky rig was invented? Some guy didn't know how to rig a plastic worm so he hooked through the middle, and it looked a little....wACky
  2. Never know until you try it!
  3. Great responses everybody. I've been using a splitshot rig. I got the Zoom ss+u tail worm and a 2/0 ewg gammy hook. And i place one #6 or #3 splitshot (depending on wind and depth) about 18-24 inches above the worm. I'm catching rock bass, Largemouth, small mouth, and PIKE (although every so often they gnaw through my line). As for line i have some #8 yo-zuri hybrid ultra soft. I would have gotten #6 but they were outta stock.
  4. I havn't tried but on my next order to TW or BPS im gettin some. This guy is using a javallon which is the same as the LFT Live Magic Shad. He usues it on a drop shot rig, you gotta see it.
  5. When fish are not biting and your in some super clear water, what would be the best finesse fishing presentation. The fineesiest of finesse? Also how about line test? Whats the lowest you will go?
  6. Ive had pike cut through my mono before. Never braid. Once was using a split shot rig with a culprit worm. I felt a tug and set the hook...nothing. When i reeled it in, the curly tail had been bitten off! Threw out a new worm and 2 casts later, another hit then nothing. this time he took the whole worm...and hook. I've also lost a few cranks and various other soft plastics to pike. I despise them.
  7. This happened to me too. I've fished for bass for 3 years now and i still have a lot to learn. But when i started out, all i used was Texas rigged worms and a few other soft plastics. Now I've grown my lure collection to accommodate liplless/lipped cranks, spinners, jigs, swim baits, and various other types of lures. Latley ive been using nothing but hardbaits and my BC. I forgot all about my spinning gear. Latley though im gettin back into soft plastics. And i feel bad for hurting their feelings and not letting them out the box .
  8. Woah hoooo! I hate snakes...what kind of a snake is that btw?
  9. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh thats good stuff Raul. Anyways, i would not shoot somebody running off with my t.v. If there is a dude IN MY HOUSE? That will change whether i shoot him or not. The thing is i wouldn't know if he had a weapon. If i saw anything that resembled a gun i might shoot. This is all what comes to mind. I don't actually own a gun but have put in though for a concealed weapons permit.
  10. Rage craws, or chunks. Also, I was wondering if anyone has used a space monkey for a trailer?
  11. OH MAN! Those are the perfect color for bluegill in my canal! I am not even kidding how close those look. That hint of orange is perfect as is the small amount of blue and dark brown stripes.
  12. http://www.kayakfishingsupplies.com/servlet/the-299/Hobie-Inflatable-Tandem-i14t/Detail That's what I got, well my step dad has and I use. It is a 2 person inflatable. I use it only in my canal but in the canal is a good amount of current. I move a foot about every 5 seconds. I have an anchor, but it is kinda tricky, it makes me go sideways when I use it. I hook the anchor on the side in the back. To the right of the back seat. I'm fishing in roughly 5-10 feet of water. Is there a certain way to anchor where i will point straight with the current? Also an easier way to deploy and recover the anchor?
  13. I usually stock up after my birthday, around end of February. Doesn't matter if im low on lures or not, i stock up lol. Throughout the season though, ill pick up a few things here and a few things there. I also usually buy one new rod a year.
  14. I was looking at this reel and it is in my price range. It has the features that I want plus a few more. The reviews on tackle warehouse say that it's an amazing reel. One dude says its as good as a zillion. I was just wondering if the BR bros got anything to say about it as well?
  15. Your using #6 test and 6lb-ish bass breaks off? seems like you need stronger line? Doesn't sound like a line quality problem. I use #12 on my BC and its the best. I've pulled in pike, bass, and a 25lb carp on #12 line.
  16. I haven't been having much luck with fish staying on. I've said a lot of "son of.....?" "Dammit!" "How the?"
  17. Welcome! You will be glad that you joined. What part of Michigan are you from? I'm in Algonac.
  18. Can u make weed guards? I wanted to try the flick shaking technique. The jackall jig head had bad reviews so i was gonna buy the damiki jig head, but it doesn't have a weed guard. How would i go about making one or is there a better flick shake jighead?
  19. whether its a line/knot break, or he jumps and gets off, yeah its a little upset but whatever. Its more like "AWW MAN HE GOT OFF!!! Well...better make more casts!" So im not ticked, it just makes me wanna cast more and try harder.
  20. By me, we have a lot of water spiders that like to make A LOT of webs on my kayak. So everytime i wanna fish from the yak, i have to take a half=hour just getting all the freaking spiders off cuz they scare the hell outta me. Idc if they aren't poisonous.
  21. I never really watched that much football till last year when i did fantasy. I had him on my team and i really liked him and Adrian Peterson together.
  22. 40 in musky!?!?!? NICE! BUt how can you only have tiger musky? They are a hybrid of a pike and regular musky, are they stocked their?
  23. You got it? Nice!
  24. I would say AOY. If you can knock off KVD, you're a god.
  25. You can not go wrong with 5" senkos. Also, some worms with a curly tail (Berkley Power worm 7"") with a 3/0 hook and a 1/16 oz . Also, 3/8oz spinnerbait in chartreuse is a good bet for catching fish.
