  1. I have it set on DVR because I'm going to be away on all of those days > great shown, made even better by Glenn, right
  2. KVD had an article in bassmaster magazine about burning spinner baits in cold weather, he said that it caught bigger fish than a lipless crank.
  3. OK where you handing out things to children in your underwear those poor kids, lol ;D ;D ;D but I don't know what you guys are talking about, that smell is there air we breath down here in Texas all year long, hope you guys enjoy the whiffs
  4. I have two brothers who feel that its their job in this life to show me how fishing is a dumb sport, and that only people who aren't smart enough to do anything else. But then again their are the first guys who want to go fishing when the crappies are running.
  5. Whats the name of the show???
  6. Check on Versus they have the full schedule
  7. Howdy from another Texas guy
  8. glad you got it, But we are OK, the bad stuff only hit last night and a little in the morning but nothing serious. What bugs me is that it was 74 degrees on Thursday, and now it's like 24 and dropping, Last year my pond froze over and the edges of a few small local lakes. I'm just glad it's not like that this year
  9. Sorry I didn't get back here sooner, there is an ice storm going though North Texas and my Internet was down. But Classic patterns will be on at 9:30 Tues central time. If you want there full schedule go to outdoorchannel.com, I think you can even go on the website and watch previous shows. hope you get this before the show
  10. Thanks for the tips so far, and I make crank baits, but I'm looking in to pouring my own soft plastics and my own jigs
  11. Classic patterns is still on VS or outdoor channel I record them on my TV so I can watch them when ever I want to. I also record Bass edge, City limits fishing, Bill Dance outdoors, Jimmy Houston outdoors, Hank Parker's outdoors, Al Linden outdoors, Bass pros, And Fishing University, there mit be a few more that slip my mind. If you have any ?? about these shows I be glad to help.
  12. OK I buy most of all of my tackle making supplies at Jannsnetcraft.com, I have no complaints about them just wondering if there are any other websites or stores like them that sell tackle making supplies??
  13. Great looking baits BIG M. just one ??? why do you turn the back hook ring horizontal instead of the usual vertical way like the bottom one??
  14. I watch the show and I like it, though I could do without some of the beeping out, but other than that great show, did he ever do one in Dallas? There is some great fishing around there
  15. We do the same thing you northern guys do, we wouldn't do it, LOL ;D
  16. At least you northern guys have weather that is consistent, Cold and miserable,LOL ;D. Down here in Texas the weather is OUT OF CONTROL, I mean yesterday it was 74 degrees and as I write this it is 24 degrees with the wind making it below 10 . That's cold for a Texas boy
  17. Great fish, isn't funny how everybody says that a crankbait isn't as good as a big fish lure as a jig. They seem to forget that the world record was caught on a crankbait
  18. Normans thin, There is no better flat sided bait that imitates a blue gill better, Run it next to shallow cover all year long. Bomber flat A if your trying to imitate shad
  19. I can give you the Top 3 Texas lakes, a few should be counted in the country's top five 1. Lake Fork, like you guys didn't know that 2. Lake Falcon 3.Lake Ray Roberts, the best kept secret in Texas, 9lbs are not uncommon I'm sure some people will disagree with my last pick just my opinion
  20. If what bassbandit35 says is true then I'm going with Acadia. If you don't know who that is check out there website www. Acadia sports.com. There a company that buys rods and reels from the same factories that make daiwas and shimano, the difference, they sell them for a much lower price. I had almost made up my mind to buy the BPS extremes, But I would like it if some of you guys check out the website and told me what you think about their reels, thanks for all the info I'm learning a lot
  21. I wanted to change some of the paint jobs on a few crankbaits, so I started sanding BIG MISTAKE, I RUINED ONE OF MY FAVORITE CRANKBAITS :'(. Is there any other way to remove paint without hurting the bait?
  22. NEVER SAND STORE BOUGHT BAITS, I learned my lesson the hard way.
  23. Again thanks for all the info. I'm sorry but for those of you that suggest eBay or the flea market, I've been burned on Internet deals to much, after my last bad deal I promised myself to buy everything new. Looks like I'm going to be buying two extremes, I figure that if I take care of them and keep them clean they should last awhile. Thanks guys
  24. Maybe we need to start a club called 'bait monkeys anonymous' we can have a number you can call when that monkey starts to climb over your back and starts to whisper.
  25. Thanks for the info guys, but I'm not an ebay guy, I'm a shore fisherman so I like to have two poles rigged..... saves time and line. I guess the real question is do I go with one high end reel, or still try my luck at two for the same price. Two BPS extremes would cost me (tax not included) $129.99. One Shimano Citica E will cost me $119.99. What should I do? Take a chance and get the extremes, or go with the dependable Citica.
