OK here's the plan you meet a new guy at the lake who has never fished before in his life, but he wants to get started so he asked you to suggest some lures he should get and in what color You can suggest one top water one crankbait one spinnerbait one Jig and two soft plastics What would you suggest? The trick worm floats so I fish it weightless on top.

Certain baits are weighted in the nose so you can just drill a hole and then remove the BBs because they are just there to make noise. Other kinds the BBS are there to help balance the bait, on these it is not smart to do anything because you can seriously hurt the action. I believe that Rapala lipless cranks are weighted in the nose so I would work with those
