  1. I'm in the club with sam just coming out of my first year and can defiantly say that I thought I was a good fisherman but these guys know more than I thought possible about the VA waters. Defiantly a fun club for non boaters every one I have fished with has been a fun learning experience. look forward to seeing you at the meeting as a fellow BR recruit to the RVA bassmasters.
  2. I sell cars/trucks so we cannot take the last weekend of the month off. sundays work best for me. saturdays are also hard to get off. Im cool with either one of the places
  3. did we set a date yet, im in as long as its not the last weekend of the month.
  4. I can go on sundays .. the 23rd
  5. hahahh i love it, golf would be really boring too if someone didnt break a club or pitch a fit every now and then. if it was a steez rod now that would be another story.
  6. pitching down to 1/8 but i do 1/4 and 3/8 most often
  7. yah when you set the hook or pull on the line hard the line will pull through the top couple of layers of the braid. so when you spool it do it extra tight and when you are fishing it every now and then make a long cast and reel the line back in and use your fingers to tighten it up on the spool(not as much applicable when using cranks or moving baits more so pitching)
  8. im voting for one of the new crucials their sweet
  9. very true punching can be more difficult. I bit onto the swimbait bandwagon and what i found is that it is really hard to find a flip/punch rod that will be and ideal swimbait rod and vice versa.
  10. i think your going to kill that premier pretty quick throwing 2oz+ lures, i would be looking at a 300 400 calcutta, pluton or a 300 curado. i just dont think that revo has the line capacity using 20+ mono or 65+ braid. this guy has a lot of good points on the a rig topic
  11. i would get a 7.3 mh veritas it is a very stout rod
  12. im their ,,,, i say we have a BR green top meet
  13. http://www.japantackle.com/Topics/brake_system.htm this article will explain it some days i like diawa some days i like shimano overall i find shimano more user freindly but performance out of diawas better in optional conditions
  14. Big O if you make some of those i want some free packs
  15. i think if i did it i would take 2 of them cut them down and bond them together so the tails were on each side then use a weighted wacky rig
  16. killer pitching bait. especially when they have seen lots of bait with action all day long
  17. i find mag v better too just to put it out there when you talk about finesse are you saying say 1/4 shakey + trick worm or like 1/8oz + 4in robo if the first i say shimano the other diawa
  18. ive never used a sol but owned a alphas type f and have an alphas ito and also have a 50e. I think the 50 feels much more powerful and cast baits as well once you clean the bearings. personally if i had to do it again i would just get the 50e over the type f. but if you can get an ito it is a world of difference. hopefully that was convoluted enough for you
  19. new crucial hands down
  20. what should i do both rods have similar specs but that 3in is my qualm. I like the bigger rod but does anyone have any experience with either yet? thanks guys was going to get a T3 ballistic but that thing has an ugly handle on it
