They've been on clearance for at least a couple months now at several retailers, including TW, BPS, and Cabelas.
Yes but his post said closeout sale I was wondering why they are "closeing" out the carrot stix?
I am in the market for new line on six rod and need some topwater line has anyone used the lucky craft topwater line? http://www.***.com/Lucky_Craft_Iron_Athlete_Mono_Topwater_Line/descpage-LCIAMT.html
I have never thrown one and dont even keep them in my tackle box. I really dont see them being that much better than any other soft plastics . Yes, they catch fish but so do my flukes, trick worms and brush hogs.
I would like to start rod building. I make my own lures and fly so now I want to make a rod to throw the lures I make. I not trying to save money I am just trying to start a new hobby. So I am looking for all tools and such needed I have about 125 to spend on tools and found this http://www.cabelas.com/link-12/product/0003511315280a.shtml?cmCat=perf&rid=0987654321&cm_mmc=Performics-_-CSE-_-GoogleBaseUSA-_-0003511315280a&mr:trackingCode=B75A84C8-958E-DF11-A0C8-002219318F67&mr:referralID=NA Is it any good? any other suggestions?
See here is a perfect example most people think that you throw a frog to match frogs in the area but it isnt always so. In may or june try a green frog with black legs to imitate a baby bass or if there are a lot of bluegill try a green frog with a white/orange belly and black legs to imitate bluegill eating flys/bugs on the water
I cant afford heavy tungsten but I love flippin the mats so here is what I cam up with
1. take a net bait paca craw and 2 weight of you choice
2. Shove 1 weight up the net bait to about the middle ( make sure there is enough room for the hook on either side.
3. Slide the other weight up the line tie hook on and peg weight.
4. catch fish
Not sure if anyone has done this but I figured I would let you know how I rig my craws for punchin. I got to use it yesterday and it punched through just fine and it didn't hinder the action or hook up ratio
They work any time if you find a spot that you know is holding fish go back there a different times and find that window when they are feeding (it may be small maybe even only 30 minute window) but when you find it you can catch'em and catch'em
I have a cheap depth finder right now and I am looking to upgrade. I really know nothing about finfinder, sonars or the like so any help is greatly appreciated. I have about $250 to spend and I am really not picky, however it does need to be pretty durable. Any suggestions?
