An AAS in business will get you a little further than the average joe but nothing to sneeze at.
My wife finished with an AAS in business and an AAS in accounting last year and with several years experience in the field she is making pretty good money for our area. She is now about halfway through a BS in business and plans on getting her MBA. Even at this point in her college her work has already sat down with her and discussed management positions. She works in IS in our local credit union and the BS is the only way the good, high paying jobs will come.
Someone mentioned 55,000 as a rate of pay for the AAS. If you make that much in my area with an AAS you have some MAJOR connections. What I'm saying is that the pay will be subject to the local pay rates in your area so don't be discouraged by what you may make. Also remember that it takes time so don't get discouraged.
BTW, go for the degree!!!! My wife talked me into going to college and I'm almost finished with my AAS in Administration of Justice and I'm having the time of my life doing it!
